My frend has this thing on his bike. Its not exactly a voltmeter.Just let you know that the bike's battery is working and charging. If not mistaken $30++ from Planet@Ubi.

yup. agree that its not a volt meter, it monitors the batt. hence when the voltage fall below certain value, it will also hint u to get the rect and batt a check. having a volt meter is good but then its not waterproof and quite big. :cheeky:

its up to individual to decide what the want. having that to hint me to get it check is what i have been using the volt meter on my previous ver s as well. my current ride, i think having to spend so much on a volt meter is not that worth as got many cases of volt meter damage due to water slipage.

thats also why i am posting the pic once i install so that others can have a look at the product before deciding to install it or not. i also am not that sure of the price too...

Thanks for sharing the info! :thumb:

eh actually wat does a voltmeter really do? meaning, u know your volt of your bike for wat?

u can monitor ur rect if its degrading or over charging which will degrade the batt too.. once the voltage hits below certain volts, ur bike will not be able to start or run... worst case is rec spoilt n dun know... while traviling at the expressway and ur bike just cease and am unable to start despite u push start as the rec charging voltage is not sufficient to operate ur bike system.

just my .05 cents worth of sharing, i might be wrong... maybe the lau jiaos will be able to answer ur question better. :cheeky:

Why not ask Dr. Guru to fix for you?

Suggest for installing the voltmeter - do not cut & join to any of the original wires. The installation must be such that original wires are untouched. Try to use connectors and crimping (extra a few dollars); instead of just exposing the copper wires and twisting them together. Install a fuse also, since it cost only a extra 1 or 2 dollar more. Getting some one who have all the ready tools to fix for you can save you alot of time and better workmanship.

I am seriously considering the 2 in 1, temp & voltage - if it is not too expensive. The motorworld 's 3 in 1 is too expensive for me.

I think temp sensor is important because otherwise if water in radiator runs low, there will be pre-warning of rising temp. Then I can top up water before engine gets overheated. A overheated engine can seized while riding, internal parts can also be damaged - very serious damage. I need the temp sensor coz I never check my water level except during servicing - too lazy.

 the price includes installation? The temperature sensor show what temperature for fan to cut in? So far the device got drenched by rain and still working? I am really dying to get this also - its so affordable.

btw , you also having tri-color boldor ? :cheeky:

Looi's motor is at Kaki Bukit, will go down & check out for you on this comming Monday, if I free.

The price was $50, not include installation, problem is to made the bracket.

It did gone through heavy rain & water drip inside the unit & cause error, but after dry out it working normal. This multi meter did not control any fan or any device on your bike, it just show reading only. It can read up to max 70 deg C.
