As above... would like to purchase a box but in a dilemma which size to get. Whats the smallest box tt will fit 2 helmets? Maybe one fullface and one half face. Cuz i dun wanna fit one that will distrupt the stability of my bike. Will the 45l cause problems with bike stability?

Thanks peeps :giddy:

there's this myth about maxia being too heavy for s4 to take if fully loaded and in the long run, it may cause the sides of the rear plastic to crack up ........

not sure how true this is but the max capacity is actually 10kg whereas a norm give e450 is 3kg .......it's up to ur choice bro ..but dun regret after putting the box.....

so far, only saw one s4 wiht hepco, in my opinion, that's the best box if u can afford cos it's really unbreakable

my 2 cents worth

i buy the 52L topcase is for the capacity... i dun remember putting a 10kg of rice in. :cheeky:

but even if u buy alot of things, it wun add up to 10kg unless its heavy stuff.

but u say 3kg for 45L, they shd b refering to the nylon base plate. lets say u get the cast iron base plate, it can take a more heavier weight.

but lets say u r carry heavy stuff, dun ride fast can liao.

cheers...

Mine is GIVI Simply box. Though I do not know how many litres is the capacity, I did once put a 20kg aquarium gravel inside it plus an extra 5 kg of different colored gravel.

While I rode back, can feel the rear end of the bike swaying like nobody's business. I am not worried about the box, the thing I am worried most is the connection between the rack bracket and the tail's tube frame. Wouldn;'t want this part to snap off whilst carrying such a motherlode.. :giddy:

Wah you guys really put loads of stuffs into your box.... I put my school bag and one big stack of lecture notes, I already think its too heavy.... 15 pound bowling ball....:giddy:

haha.... Anyway, does a box really affect the handling of the bike? i tried riding without box for a while and the bike feel easier to handle... is it just psychological or does it really have effect on the bike?

i'm using givi simply 45L... i also have a full-face and a open-face...

just nice can fit... but you wont be able to put much after you squeeze 2 helmets in... the helmets are touching each other and the sides of the box...

with empty box.. i dont think it destabilises the bike that much... i usually ride without much things behind except one spare helmet..

installing the topcase will offset the the bike instantly. base on pushing of the bike with and without box is so different.

when riding at normal speed of ard 90 - 100km/h, feeling is ok. but if riding at higher speed of maybe 140km/h n above, the resistance is there. cornering seems to b abit tougher with a box as well.

thats base on personal experience. not sure about others...
