All too common unfortunately; I usually stay far far away from that stationary queue because it's almost inevitable we meet someone in a real hurry. Hazards and hi beam on (to warn those behind me), reduce speed, ride on the right side of the lane or move to lane 1 if possible.

Chill la. Record videos just to show others how idiotic drivers behave. No need to go till the extend of reporting them. Like that never ending. Some people may just have a bad day. Maybe one day we will become idiotic riders as well.

If a driver pissed me off badly enough, I have contacted the TP and supplied them a link to the video. I do not know if the TP does anything though.

This situation is very common. Have to be on high alert when in this type of situation as there are driver who will disregard riders and barge out expecting the rider to evade or give way to them.

I had ever witnessed an accident in this type of situation.

this type is really bo bian. They see you actually but they just dun care abt you and just wanna come out. They notice you actually. They just wanna ignore you. I horn him and wait to see his face. indeed its a f@rk face.

For this timing, weather recon is -very- important.

 

One of the Phantom Knights pulled me along for such an attempt, didn't monitor the weather, cancelled at 5.30am cos they probably didn't know how lovely it was to film a time lapse cloudy sunrise scene.

 

Problem is, I was already there. Which kind of awakens my naturally vengeful spirit.

Brednardk, I always think these drivers see us, but sometimes I really wonder.. In your video, I'm thinking maybe he didn't see you behind the lorry, or saw you too late and assumed you would follow the lorry in the other lane ?

But I understand how pissed you are, I think we all do cause this is too frequent. Some truly don't pay attention, their mind is locked on "car/truck" size object and that's it (cf that famous UK ad about this car clearing a junction and hitting a motorcycle when the driver CHECKED the oncoming road and didn't see the bike!).

 

The more I ride, the more I wish I had a lights board that can display messages like:

 

- THANK YOU ! (rare use)

- SORRY ! (I'm a newbie rider ok, I make mistakes too...:/)

- WTF ?!? (and it's translation in chinese/malay/tamil)

- MURDERER !

- I WAS IN YOUR BLINDSPOT

- YOU'RE NOT SCHUMACHER

- SIGNALING IS NOT CHECKING

- STOP DRIVING

- OMG I ALMOST DIED

- DRUNK MUCH ?

Easy, put a big yellow sign on the tailboard.

 

When I'm in a bad mood the "b**** on motorcycle" sign is put up

 

 

On the above observations, I have a new procedure:

 

On the BKE today I was cruising along at 90+ when I saw 3 cars bully an Ah Pek Phantom, appearing to charge into his lane broadside even though the Phantom is not small and was in the centre of the lane. Ah Pek could only drift to the right of lane 2 and hope for the best (his bike couldn't accelerate fast).

 

I swooped in to ride formation with him, me on the left and him on the right, and together we horned those idiots to hell!

 

We broke formation immediately thereafter, he escaping to lanesplit to the right and me to the left lane.

On 15 Aug afternoon I'll be conducting a DIY lesson to strip, service and change parts on some bikes, followed by a seafood dinner at Pasir Panjang Food Centre at 8pm.

 

Good time to film a convoy and show off a few bikes too.

Mount on helmet or jacket will produce vomit inducing footage as your body can never stay still. Unless your camera is of high quality with extremely good image stabilization, it's better to mount the camera on the bike.

Its a GoPro Motorsport HD, shot in full HD, but compressed for smaller filesize.

 

It is front mounted on the nose of my bike via a quick release clip, with a Gopro rubber damper to reduce vibrations. The quick release mount is stuck onto my bike with one of the strongest industrial double-sided tape available, 3Mâ„¢ VHB 4991, also supplied by Gopro.

 

As for angle, it's supposed to be wide angle, but I may have shrunk the vid during conversion.

1) Swerving between fast-moving traffic on BKE-PIE (yep caught on video);

 

2) Hogging lane and having conversation with each other on the expressway;

3) Not having proper protective wear:

 

(a) SUPER FAIL 1: tank top with pink bra strap on female R1 rider (okay I know some men will nose bleed. I think this is being plain stupid.);

 

(b) SUPER FAIL 2: open face helmet while executing stunts on road.

 

4) Illegal licence plate. HAHAHAHAHA!!! (Yep my bike got caught by TP before for illegal licence plate too.)
