I think if you wanna put on your head and aim, at least get a better recorder with image stabiliser. If not you might just end up with blurry footage.

Don't try to aim too long or you might lose focus of the traffic ahead. :/

Anyone buying the $330 gopro @ cmo?

Actually u c my video need stabilizer? E aiming is meant for eg: u c a drover using handphone on e move. I handlebar cam dun need can "aim" right? :)

Juz realise, some riders think this is a waste of money.

N sadly its quite hard to convince them that its a cheap "insurance"

One of them even said its all about being alert. Ask him back can he be alert all the time? He replied sure. Haizzzzzzz

Imagine someday people reports you for lane splitting or not signalling.. :\ Karma.. hahaha..

I bought a camera for joy and insurance sake.

So far im nvr lucky during accident. I always bang others back. By law, its my fault but now with technologies and cameras are getting smaller. This video may prove my innocence. Any car can juz cut into our lane then we hit thier backs. So our fault?

What piss me off is he was very sure of himself. Hah! Rider somemore.

That is actually my intentions. Sadly I am disappointed by ur objectives. But everyone should ve their own opinions.

My opinion is tat in SG, the roads r so dangerous, more so for us bikers is becoz of us Singaporeans, let's not even start talking about explosion in population, foreign drivers and no license driving and other stuff. I say again, us Singaporeans r part of the main root cause of the danger.

Y? Becoz we ve a extremely bad habit of when see something wrong just pretend never see or "not my problem" mentality. Thus those who begin by making minor mistakes will carry to make major mistakes becoz their minor r not corrected. Those who begin by making these mistakes intentionally will continue to do so and only become worse becoz no one will bother to report them and most noes.

Even urself, u ve this safety conciousness yet u will CHOOSE not to report them. So just imagine how many pple r not safety concious? Then the small number of safety concious pple, how many of them will be typical and pretend not to see or "not my problem". So left with this small number of pple who wish to report but the TP will dun bother since it is a minority.

Everytime someone, anyone complains about gov or authorities not doing anything not acting in accordance, etc, i would think whether the someone, anyone bothers to do anything at all in the first place but expects tat gov or authorities is suppose to baby sit all of us.

Not saying tat there is nothing wrong, but i am just saying tat we the motorist r part of the problem. BY NOT REPORTING THE PROBLEM.

i think what each person wants to record and/or report is up to individual...

when you report up to TP you must be prepared to stand witness when TP ask you to be...

also most will report only when the other road user causes danger...

also why sometimes good to have a wide angle lens cam...

Let your friend learn it the hard way. A similar thing happened to me except that I was waiting for the following week to get ahold of a cam for my bike. I am alert all the time when riding. I know my riding behaviours. Sadly after two days of coma I woke up in a hospital and got to know from friends and colleagues that I was involved in an accident. What really happened was wiped out of my mind. Apparently the other party claims he was waiting for traffic light and I suddenly rear ended his lorry. Weird thing is his lorry's damage was only on the rear right and my bike's and my physical damage is all on the left. I suspected he had swerved dangerously into my lane and suddenly braked. The sad thing was there were no witnesses. I used to tell any rider that however careful and alert we are all it takes is a reckless driver to end it all. Sadly it happened to me. On the brightside it proved me right.

Of coz I'm not suggesting tat we report every single sh** like stomp. If 1 time mistake and distance is safe i also do not bother.

E cases i reported so far r multiple repeated mistakes regardless of safety distance as this is a driving habit. Also cases where by it may cause danger, can be once only but safety implicated.

Anyway my long post was disappointed tat many of us, singaporeans or not on e road even in regards to matters not on e road, often choose to "pretend never c" or "not my problem" mentality. This is a very sad issue in our society.

Of coz once again i dun mean every matter also report complain.

Eg: a bicycle or bike on pavement too fast, if u ve a chance, would u tell him/her to ride slower?

If u c someone litter right in front of a dustbin, would u tell him/her of e location of e dustbin?

If u c a motorist park his car/bike in a manner tat may block other car/bike or cause inconvenience, would u tell him/her?

E above r just minor matters which r not of safety matters. They r also minor enough to be ignored.

Now wat if e bicycle or bike accidentally knock ur child/gf/wife/pregnant?

Wat if e litter was throw at ur door step? (assuming live 1st floor)

Wat if e car/bike block ur car/bike?

Now wat if e examples i relate r changes to road matters tat r safety issue. Wat if 1 of these road users with e bad habit tat someone could ve reported in e past cause a accident to someone u may noe becoz e bad habits r not change?

to sum up, my point is if our TP r more efficient of coz there would be less safety concern on e road. But it is a fact tat they cannot be everywhere. Even in neighborhood, there r watches set up by residents. Y not on e road? Y cant we all assist to report these bad habit road users so as to encourage better and safer road usage?

Personally i hate this "pretend never c", "dun care/bother" or "not my problem" mentality. Becoz it is e same mentality as most of e f*** up motorist.

I dun care/bother so i dun give way.

It is ur problem not my problem so u wrong lane go screw it. I wont give way.

Never c u so buang u lo.

I think tp slow. E videos i sent r obvious cases and evidences. I even suggest tat tp dun charge but just issue warning so tat e motorist noe wat they did. I suggest to apply baseball theory, 3 warning then charge.

Bought from ebay. Free shipping. I think will be buying another but need to think of how to mount on bike first. Helmet version more for catching handphone drivers.

agreed on the attitude of road users...

my BBDC instructor use to say "Bikers must stop to help other bikers in need. If we don't help our fellow bikers, who is going to help. Most other road user won't care"

but of course this is not only for bikers but for all road users...

Pls show a pic of how u put e cam in ur helmet. For me i use 3m velcro to mount it outside my helmet.

Cam mount.jpg

Advantages

*More to eye level

*Rain or shine it is in your helmet

*Camera(Vado HD) recording volume is really loud!

*Able to capture left and right, good when accident happens when lane changing

*Will not forget about camera

*Light pocket camera with wide lens

*Easy to fit and take out.

*Records HD+, HD(currently using) and VGA

Disadvantages

*Screen likely to touch your nose

*Take up your "personal" space in helmet

*Have to cut your inner helmet and void warranty

*Battery cover likely to open when removing, have to put tape.
