Yup its around there. I hv alr ordered third party battery frm ebay. Come wif external charger + cigg lighter attachment. Same price as 1 original batt. Locally original battery all no stock.

my Hero HD1 after 2yrs++ almost 3 yrs still going strong...

with LDC bacpac recording time on 1280 x 720 about 3-3.5hrs...

I realise hero 3 battery quite weak, maybe because of the wifi feature? Haven really try recording with wifi off yet.

comes with 2x battery, plug-in charger & 12volt cable. gd for touring trips i guess. all in for ard $35. same price as 1 original battery. i just charged up one of them and recorded till the battery went flat. i got 2hr 17min (1080p@30fps). shud get better after a few more charges. i rmb my original battery 1st charge also get around that timing. worth it so far.

Thanks for the info. So you set up a cigarette lighter socket on your bike? Or going to use that one in your car...?

 

The links I mentioned include the wall charger, but not the cigarette lighter one... not sure if the latter will be of much use to me.

My bike come wif cigarette socket. So okla. mine is oso a wall charger, but can connect d 12volt adapter as well. So up to ur usage ah. I dont drive often, so wont rly use in car la.

Just bought a Contour ROAM 2 (Red in color) not even a month, is a good action camera, but somehow not up to what I expected, will like to sold it out and get others model, anyone keen to take it PM me,

come with mounting and charging accessories, but already use one of the double side tape, so left another double side tape for the mounting, price will only disclose to buyer in Private message, self collection, video clip of the action camera taken will also provided upon request.

I think I bumped into your friend at the anniversary event yesterday! Or at least, she was a lady rider with a Hero3 mounted with a J mount on a Shoei Multitec, and I'm guessing there can't be very many of those

 

She was kind enough to answer my questions and even let me try positioning the camera onto my helmet to see if I could get a good angle. Which I can, so I am much more reassured! Now can't wait to get my hands on the new toy!

 

actually it is very easy.

 

Step 1: Attach ur GoPro hero 3 to the J hook buckle.

Step 2: Open ur flip up helmet all the way.

Step 3: Align ur cam to the center of the helmet making sure that the lower part of the helmet does not hit the the buckle or the cam. Mark that spot.

Step 4: Paste the curved or flat adhesive mount onto the helmet
