Does anyone know how to read the tyre specs/ratings or how to determine what pressure is suitable?

the spec on the tyres only indicate maximum pressure that the tyre can withstand.

(no ppl will pump tyre to its max pressure)

lower pressure = more surface area = more grid = wear & tear faster = need more fuel to travel

higher pressure = less surface area = less grid = last longer = need less fuel travel

the tyre pressure also depends on wether most of the time got pillion or riding alone. Got pillion, higher pressure is require for compensate the extra weight acting on the tyres.

so tyre pressure is really up to individual. if really so concerns about pressure. you need to de-pressure when riding alone and increase pressure when pillion. think that abit mad to always go in and out of petrol kisk to change the tyre pressure. :giddy:

A second of precaution is an hour of safety. It never hurts to ask.
