how fast do you think it can go?

in malaysia, i have personally seen their vespa's zoom at around 140km(a rarity in singapore) on the highway.

but on track, it has been mentioned and witnessed by many, that the racers can punched up to 160km - 180km.

sounds crazy right? but true!

so why does anyone wants to have their vespa's all souped up and running at that speed?

only they have the answer.

but in singapore, you'll get most travelling at 120 top speed and a few vespa 'gems' at 140 or so.

one last thing...never bother looking at your vespa speedometers.

i wouldn't say its not reliable, just that its not accurate.

the vespa's i mentioned that was racing at those speed on the highways, are all being so called 'escorted' or 'tail-gated' by fast cars to monitor their exact speeds.

you dont get the exact correct speed but you can more or less judge through experience.

and help with the riders or drivers around you.

:: take 60 from eunos busstop, stop at the busstop when the bus turns into bedok reservoir *it goes uphill, you'll know*.. then cross the road take 65 from opp busstop *this time it goes downhill*... the bus will go thru ubi... then stop at the desired busstop... add sugar when desired. ::

but i would strongly suggest against it, if you do decide to have your scoot all modded-up to run at those speed.

it's not worth the money or your safety.

my hubby has a very fast scooter but even he does not push his scoot all the way.

my suggestion? ride a regular 'happy' vespa or buy a racing aprilia

my clutch la.. the whole thing loosed up.. dunno why also..

then cannot change gear.. stuck at gear 3. now my gear shift thingie can turn 360 degrees.. no need to clutch in.. lol..
