thx for sharing. Didn't know Z-6 is more ex than X-9.

For all i know, i tot X-9 have better ventilation than Z-6 all this while.

maybe due to the riding position.

Correct me if i am wrong. Thx guys

If you look at Shoei's entire helmet range, I think you will find that the Z series sits as their mid-range product. The X series is their top end product.

There are currently two X series helmets available: X-9 (oriented for upright riding position) and X-11 (oriented for sports riding position).

Incidentally, the Z-6 looks oriented for sports riding...although they seem to position it as a universal helmet.

It would hard to tell which has better ventilation without trying on the helmet and riding. But I would imagine the X series ventilates better than the Z series....though I could be wrong.

Bottomline does not change though. Get the one you like best and fits your budget. Any full face helmet is better than an open face one :)

A full face is called such because after you hit the road with your face you still have a, eh ... full face. :)

I believe the Hurt Report states that 20% of facial injuries happens to the chin area. Darn ... imagine the damage that the lid is taking for ya.

Cheers

 by that argument, so an open face helmet is so called because if rider hits road with face, he will have an, eh ... open(ed) face? :faint:

Shoei X-11.

Just go and get a quote at Regina or Chiong Aik.

And then decide where you want to get, since one shop is just across the road of another.

What is the address of REGINA ??

Thanx

Z6 looks good on the website...think it is a definitely option for a sportsbike type of riding position. Will probably go take a look in the next few weeks. I would pass on the X-9 for now as I do not have a bike that dictates an upright riding position suitable for this helmet. I already have a Hornet DS for my TW200. But I think the X-9 is a great helmet if you have a streetbike that dictates an upright riding position.

Is the Hornet PSB-approved?

I own a Diabolic for the last 2 years or so (so that would make it a Z-5?).

Great light helmet. Compared to the X9 which I also have (for the last 4 years) the Z5 is lighter but the cushion material not as plush as the X9. The chin-guard of the Z5 is also nearer to the mouth of the rider.

Cheers

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM CHONG AIK. They're prices are damned ex because their sales people want to pocket also. Get your helmets from Ah Boy or Regina instead.

I DUNNO LOL
