Anyone using this phone?

 

My gf using this phone but it will restart by itself and sometime will just hung

 

Anyone had this problem?

tired to sync w PC and dunno why it shuts down then i hv to restart. sheesh i hope tat it's not a problematic phone. just got e phone over e wkend and learning how to use e phone.

is the keypad removable?

would any of the functions be lost/difficult to reach if the keypad was removed?

u can remove e flip cover and replace it w a 'bottom piece', it comes w e packaging.

 

think if u were to go cnet asia, you may be able to find pretty good reviews. i made my decision fr there. u can compare e specs as well but for starters u shd perhaps think abt wat u want in e phone. is it for music or photo or pda functions.

phone think kinda wierd now

 

reboots itself twice over 2 days and usually when i try to pick up an incoming call. when it turns on, it has a msg tat says Memory corrupt : D

 

does anyone hv this problem? kindly advise.

I bought this phone last week at apple telecom or something like that (cant remember the exact name) @ clementi central.

 

so far working well.. I hadthe memory corrupt issue but after changing the memory card to a 2gb one (brought at SLS on saturday for 54.90) so far so good.

actually after a while, you feel tat having such a phone is such an overkill...sigh perhaps i shd just go bk to a regular phone. lesser problems

I tink there is some memory leak issues with this phone.. I have not had such a problem.. but I download a SW 'Swiss Manager' that has a function to help free up memory..

 

it works ok for me as a pda, phone, mp3 player and so on.

 

one gripe is that u have to touch the screen to answer a call and cant click on one of the keys itself. so if ur hands are dirty,,ur screen gets dirty easily.

 

the wifi is pretty neat and works quite well... I was able to download email and check maps and such when outstation.

 

a newer version of it has come out... had a feel of the new phone and its far lighter...no opportunity to test drive it yet though.

 

any one has links to cool / 'killer' apps for this phone...mind posting it here

i think most problems should be solve once u upgrade to the latest firmware..i'm using this phone close to 1 year,initially got lots of problem,but after downloading the latest firmware,the phone is working fine..

hv to bring my phone to svc ctr now got some problems

 

1. speaker - sounds as if it has cracked

2. space bar and b key kinda stiff

3. phone shuts down and can't turn on until u adjust e battery

4. when phone is turned on, it says sim card lock, hv to reboot e phone

5. camera hang at times

 

sw just upgraded a couple of mths bk only

 

should get one w windows and read that mobile 6 is pretty good....

how to do it?

will the service centre do it for me by upgrading my firmware?
