Hi ppz,

I just got my 2B and I am looking around for a bike in frenzy.

A bit confused about Honda CB150, bajaj pulsar 200 and bajaj avenger, Phantom 200CC

Main usage is to reach work place and back home.

Also, I want to covert my liscese from 2b and want to move to a better version of 400CC bike.

Any suggestions , If I got for a new one . which one is better. If I buy a used .. which one would be hassle free.

a critique about the bikes would be appreciated

that's 3 diff types of bikes you lookin at

sports, road & cruiser

best thing is to head to a few shops to take a look at what you feel most comfy with then decide from there

Grounded... :/

thanks antartica .. frankly I am fine with all of them as such. Dont mind having a sporty or cruiser... so thats particularly not on my mind.

That ups the confusion

are you referring to CBF or CBR? cos i don't think there is a CB 150. (correct me if i am wrong on this)

as for upgrading of license, you need to wait a year after the day you got your 2b and go enroll in a driving center and take the practical and traffic police test again.

and since you are having thoughts of upgrading, there's no point going for a new 1 and sell it a year later, only to end up losing much due to depreciation.

for second hand, it would seriously depend on the condition and how well the owner look after it.

For me if i want to upgrade in future, like what jack says get the cheapest 2b bike first. Then use the spare money, save the upgrade to a 400cc.

Phantom among the few are the cheapest. FV or FW plate you can get it for 1.5k or more.. Relatively good FC.

But if wan good FC, get the CBF150 or Bajaj pulsar.. THose are super fuel efficient bikes.

this is my personal plan

i passed my 2B Sept '08

bought a Ta-200 (FV Plate COE 4+ years remaining at that time) for 1.8k - machine price

so hopefully say with time wasted etc...etc... i get my 2A by Dec '09, hope to use it for trade in for a super 4 say at trade in value of 50% i.e. $900, if i get more then good for me lah. Say i get a ver R / S or spec 1, +/- $5k, that means i only have to top up or installment on about $4k
