You can try writing in saying it is your 1st offence, apologise, request for leniency and waiver of offence, and promise never to do it again. Chances of appeal are slim, but it all depends on your letter writing skills. I have successfully appealed on a handful of other fines before.

A first time offence has a higher appeal success rate. For your case, if you just passed 2B, u can appeal on basis of ur ignorance. And don't do it again in future.

You should always slow down when approaching junctions. It will save ur points/ life.

Don't give TS false hope because there is absolutley no chance of waival for flaunting the Bus Lane rules.

Just pay the $130 fine. No demerit points.

At least one-two times per week during the morning rush hour, I see the bus lane Uncle and Aunty with their Sony digital camera, along Tampines Ave 5 and Simei Road.

bus lanes are really stupid

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

To you it may seem stupid. But if you were the one on the bus rushing for time and stupid cars and bikes jams up the bus lane, how will you feel.

Think again. =)

what if there's a long queue of cars in extreme left lane changing to the right lane to avoid the bus lane? Won't the bus be waiting longer -___-?

As a sometime bus user I'm grateful for the existence of bus lanes.

However, the bus drivers still drive like snails at times!!!

Between community and individual, the former must always have priority.

Actually i love the bus lane. It makes cycling to work which i do once a while, so much safer. While doing that, I always pose and smile at the camera
