Food For Thought

Bread pudding.

Single light cream is the type of cream most commonly used for cooking. However, this type of cream should not be boiled as it will curdle. Also, always add hot liquids to the cream rather than the cream to the liquids, in order to avoid curdling. Single(light) cream has an 18 percent fat content.

firstly congrats to jac.... for passing your tp... i am still at lesson 7 this sunday.. .... i thought u wanted to buy TZR125?

anyway... when i pass already i thought of taking my cousin's bike TZRR125 its italian...

i want to ask u guys who are experienced... is it a good bike...

i am just going to pay like 2 more months for the installment which will come up to 280 dollars...

insurance under him... i am second rider... so dont have to pay much...

now the bike is at workshop.... its a FM plate how old is it?

1) the machanic suspect the piston jam cause the bike cannot start... ( how much to repair ar any one knows?)

2) the front fork a bit dented and the handle bar not straight... how much to change the both item?

do u guys know how much or not?

and if not that expansive can respray or maybe can spray myself... (anyone one knows what kind of spray is good ar?) and what are the methods?? his bike he spray himself ugly lei...

u guys think it could be repaired ?? and safe for riding? if everything all done up? cause i dont mind spending to repair but not too ex ah... rather then buying $2000++ installment and insurance all that.. i repair and use better right?

TZRR is different from TZR... it's body size is much bigger... TZRR is one of the biggest 2B bikes ard, so just be more careful when u're handling it. :cheer:

FM plate should be somewhere ard 1993/94/95 registration.

Bike cannot start : sometime bcos the carburator is flooded, this is a common problem for 2 stroke bikes. For this problem, shut the petrol supply and keep kicking start the bike until it eventually starts. It may also be piston jam, I paid ard $300 to change to a new piston. Jammed piston cannot be repaired, has to be changed.

Fork and handle bar : if dented, better change, for safety reason, bcos it's the front tyre control that is at risk. Front forks can be costly, I'm not too sure how much, but perhaps abt $100-200 for each side.

Repray : Depending on design, number of colors, and motordiam. Ranging from $300 to ard $600 I guess.

There's a thread in 'Hands On' section for DIY re-spray guidelines...

Now, if I were u... It's a TZR... it's an old bike... try not to spend too much repairing it, if u're prepared to pay more, it would be wiser to consider a better 2B bike.

yoz guys...i'm back~~ hahaha...

the front fork ex. ah...shld be 200-300 for a pair ...2nd hand...

as for the prob with starting...go check the carburettor maybe it's choked...follow the steps given by Hell_Inside..

eh i advice u, if u gt $$ den spray...not pt have nice paintwork but f up performance. =) ...rather get it vice versa

Posted

sigh... yeah TZRR is a big 2b bike... maybe should look for TZR125 instead..

ok after reading your expert advice i shall not get that bike... later end up paying more for an old bike.... hahah

ok... ermm... if want to look for TZR.. or cheaper 2B bike where u guys recomend to look for... which bike shop offer best deal in town?? i think jac also can get one there too...

thank u for giving your advice..

Actually u dun have to take up courses to learn maintaining bikes... Reading from this forum helps a lot, especially in the top sections like Hands On, Why Pay More, etc... Just do ur own reading and research on the net, that will help a lot.

And whenever u bring ur bike for servicing, just stay and look at how the mechanics do up ur bike, then u can ask questions to the machanics also... Some mechanics will entertain ur questions gladly, some will put up 'SHUT UP' face... ahhahha...

ok basically if u r looking for a basic transport...TZR is a gd choice gt fuel efficiency and cheap maintenance. i bought my TZR for $900 OTR frm ASphoon. the condition then wasn't gd... but after some hardwork...i manage to make it look and peform gd. as for the price range TZR machine price is shld be about $500-$750 due to condition. can be cheaper though. as for maintenance look at the list below.

1) 4T 1 bottle ($12-$16)

2) 2T 1.5 litre (about 1.5 bottle) ($5-$20)

3) 1 sparkplug ($8)

4) Chain lubricant ($8-$10)

that's about the basic maintenance but there shld be additional cost...for other breakdown parts lah...no choice old bike bound to have probs. just make sure the engine is in average working condition can liao...the rest can slowly build up.
