just bought a alpinestars 2 piece GPU suit from regina. find it to be much more comfortable and lighter than another brand ive tried (texsport).

i got it for 1.5k. did i get a good deal, comparing quality, model, other brands like dainese, pricing. etc?

Or consider the Spyke 4Race model 1 piece suit. Only ones left are yellow/black/white combo color. Sizes 52 or 54 if I'm not wrong. Got it at $1,500 at Motoworld. Looks very well made with cool looking titanium knee caps...

I'm sort of a Spyke fan, liked the brand name for some reasons.... :bounce:

No need lah.. just drill a hole in your sliders, screw in a Titanium screw, or a few of them if u want... and it'll spark.

Hey cool idea! Normal screw can produce sparks or not? Titanium screws a bit impossible to find lah...

I wouldn't advice using any SCREWS on ur sliders. What if the screws came off half way on the track? and some other poor guys just rolled over it? Not so safe right? Just my thoughts.

Life is a journey, just pick the right bike.

i went over to jr first. found the dainese suits abit overpriced and he was kinda insistent on me getting some suit that im sure was hard to sell off.

anyway, i went over to ah boy next , tried on the gpu suit and found it pretty comfortable, so i made my buy. its double stitched on the stretchable areas(think its made of some fabric called lorica).

Current rides: Ducati 999 and X9 500 SL

hi, i think that ur comment is a bit carried away. all pro-rider has srcews on their slider, cos that it a sure contact to their boots n it wont melt the boots!. also can spark off their rival in track. a good one cost at $320 for garene, $380 for a dainese. come down to 1072 seranggon road . look for ken chian for a resonable price.

If u tinkin of goin track, its best u wear LEATHER stuffs. Yesterday, my leather suit, leather gloves and full face helmet save my life at pasir gudang. The 2nd last corner i highsided and tankslapped. I was thrown on front of my bike. Slided and tumbled. Lucky not banged by my own bike.... :giddy:

Only got bruises but no abrasion or blood coming out from anywhere watsoever. If i wear those armoured riding jackets, i dun tink there won't be abrasions. Surely have one. Remember guys, MONEY and bike parts can find and replace but ur LIFE can't and its damn precious. When it comes to safety, dun save ur money on it. Although leather stuffs r expensive, they r the best protection available for us. Normal riding jackets have their limits but hey, some protection is waaaayyy better than no protection rite? :goodluck:

reasonable.

what is most important is the quality of leather and make of the suit, the stitches etc.. must be solidly done, and protective areas should be reinforced.

i have see and felt the R tech, it is for the budget rider.

if possible throw in another $200 for a better suit.

What I recommend against was putting screws into knee sliders. And for the toe sliders on those track boots. You will need to slide real hard to finish the sliders before reaching those screws that holds them. My pair of oxtar boots came with titanium sliders too.

Life is a journey, just pick the right bike.
