K guys my reserve petrol light is faulty, so i dont really know when my petrol's low. Just now my tank went dry, and when i filled it up, my bike just wont start. Tried until batt went flat. Charged the batt at the nearest bike shop, and tried again, still no luck.

 

Help anyone??

K guys my reserve petrol light is faulty, so i dont really know when my petrol's low. Just now my tank went dry, and when i filled it up, my bike just wont start. Tried until batt went flat. Charged the batt at the nearest bike shop, and tried again, still no luck.

Manifold still looks fine. Spark plug just changed less than a month ago.

petrol really dries up.. even on all your standby petrol tank and fuel lines..

What u need to do is play with your throttle to the max to let the petrol flow quickly to the carburator or pull your choke if you have one.

Where's the choke? And i've tried playing with the throttle. Gave up after that.

Choke is at your carburator.. unless you're using stock, its auto choke.

by pressing ignition for long is not advisable.

it may eat up your carbon brush as well as weaken your batt.

excessive throttling might foul the spark plug right? maybe you might want to check your spark plug?

alamak, if you stay nearby i wouldnt mind lending it to you. i had a similar problem back when i was riding vxr. i was cranking the ignition and throttling at the same time. it just didnt want to start. i gave up after awhile and a mechanic friend of mine came all the way from jb to help me out. turned out i fouled the spark plug when i tried to start it. changed spark plug and the bike started fine after that. i mean, i dont know for sure if its the spark plug but its a strong possibility.

Lotsa possibilities....did u hear if ur starter motor even try to krank up the bike? If not, try checking ur brake switches....or starter relay. For our bikes...dat would be under the right side cover, below our seat. If it kranks but bike is not startin....try the plug. PLayin wit the throttle too much gonna overflow ur carb.

AIIIYAHHH... So leceh..

you have to see the candle tip.. if it's wet and dark brown or black in color, I suggest u replace a new one and you need to change your mainjet coz it's too rich.
