theres this thing called dashboard spray to restore the blackness on it... im using this turtle wax brand... really good...

aniwae, i wuld just like to be advised if it is posible to sent for spraying for the black cover for the bike.as in because of petrol leaking when re-fueling(due to over pump petrol) causes the cover to fade..it is advisable to spray back to black or should i send it for sprying?..with laquer or without?...any shops to reco?

i second that.. what my frens do is just the cheaper alternative... since we wash our bikes mostly in camp(stay in mah), most accessible and gives the same result is kiwi. just make sure after brushing it in, u use a rag to remove the excess..

improper engaging of clutch will cause excessive vibration during move off.rectifying it can either be servicing and 'modifying' the clutch or changing a new set of clutch.this depends on the degree of damage of ur clutch.

and i advice u not to have the malossi open pod.bttr get the hurricane/k&n/simota open pod filter.the air flow for the malossi filter is not very good.ur bike will get boggy at times.hope this helps.

hmm.. looks like your knowledge abt gileras are quite up there la abang.. i got sum qns to ask u... to clarify sum stuff i'm still in the blue about...

modding your clutch, does it affect the durability of the clutch itself? i read in sum euro thread that just changing the clutch springs will do or maybe give better performance than changing to deltaclutch or any aftmarket clutch..

the spring 4 the multivar, what does it do?

i'm really looking forward to your reply.. thanks..

and btw, i saw quite a number of rbgc bikes at ktm some weeks back and i must say the bikes look raaaddd!

Could it possibly be the cables for the speedo that connects to the front wheel not working??

Will be going back to ASphoon to check later in the late afternoon...

from skooch: hmm.. looks like your knowledge abt gileras are quite up there la abang.. i got sum qns to ask u... to clarify sum stuff i'm still in the blue about...

not up there lah.just sharing what i know and learn from the mechanics and pro out there.

modding your clutch, does it affect the durability of the clutch itself? i read in sum euro thread that just changing the clutch springs will do or maybe give better performance than changing to deltaclutch or any aftmarket clutch..

ur clutch pads will wear out eventually due to wear and tear.not due to modding.its juz normal.'modding' here is basically juz cutting grooves onto ur clutch pads so as to increase friction and grip between the pads and ur clutch bell.so that ur clutch can engage ur bell better and ur transmission will be smoother.

the 3 colored springs are of different tensions.white=softest (similar to stock), yellow=medium tension and red=high tension.when u change these springs, u are actly causing ur clutch to be stiffer.thus, ur bike needs to be revved higher for it to move off.and causing an improve in ur acceleration.

aftermarket clutch is better as the spring tension can be further adjusted.however i've yet to see any shops tuning the delta clutch.maybe lack of experience in that area maybe? im not sure.but definitely aftermarket is better than stock.if not scooter race in europe would juz use stock clutch rite?

the spring 4 the multivar, what does it do?

spring for multivar? hmm ive never seen a spring at the multivar.are u refering to the torque spring? the big spring between the clutch and torque driver?

i'm really looking forward to your reply.. thanks..

and btw, i saw quite a number of rbgc bikes at ktm some weeks back and i must say the bikes look raaaddd!

hmmm im not too sure about that.. been long since i last lepak with them also.. but must say some of them have got really nice bikes.mine is just stock.
