the boss say the spacer cost like 200-300 to change. somemore i spent like 400 on the bike already. wallet getting very shallowwww

2 things i mentioned earlier.

1) http://www.bikelab.com.sg/

yes they aint the cheapest in town... but they are GREAT!

2) saving from tires, brakes, suspensions aint really a wise choice. even if u dun ride hard, u dunno when u need that stopping power/handling.

long time ago, 1 old man and 1 older old man both kanna same experience from friends in sbf

question: "eh your riding gears hor, add up can buy your bike liao leh. why u spend that $?"

answer: coz my life is worth more than my bike or the gears. 怕死 but yet wanna ride. so spend lor.

Great la my bike . Chain burst at 100 kmph on gambas . Tow to shop 40 $ . The damages caused by the chain was defined as major .

Chain burst swing upwards . Slap off my signal light , slapped off my chain guard , cracked the whole piece of steel casing coverig my front sprocket , broke my shaft inside the front sprOcket area( now clutchless) . Changed did x ring chain and sprocket 200$ signal light 10$ , and need to buy shaft and find a scraped steel cover to replace the cracked one . Then mech tried to modify and put the shaft in but the shaft wasnt of exact diameter therEfore , engine oil started to leak upon starting the bike . . Damned it sia . Jus a chain burst and wanted to make my wallet burst .

On the bright side luckily no wheelock if not I'd be in hospital now

really glad to hear that u r ok.

on the otherhand, this is a classic example for regular maintenance

lub/clean ur chain regularly and keep track of slag, condition of spocks.

save little $ can cause u to spend big $ + injuries. not worth it

nope sprocket was relatively new , not sharp nor rusty. who knows .hais

lub brand is "universal ***" forgot . everywhere including mustafa got sell

doesnt make much sense for a relatively new spocket & chain which has been lub every 2 weeks and slag is ok but yet break after 2 mths.

previous set of DID on my last 2 gsxrs both lasted 2 years or more and still in very good cond.

did u mistaken wd40 for a chain lub and then go whack your bike for 2mths straight?

lub chain in wrong manner?

otherwise the only other possibility i can think of... u had a bad chain from the factory. just pure bad luck.

very curious tho...

i know. go there let ah chong see what he say. he may be able to save it. maybe he got old stocks in his workshop. you just gota try your luck. i was also quoted alot by few shops telling me thiis that spoilt. but i still tried my luck there since its only $50 & i saved alot of $ in the end.

hey ben, the planet is it at 3007 Ubi Road 1 there that one?
the 1st shop of the lane. let him see your fork & see what he say. good luck! but waiting time is long cos i think he not enough manpower.

no la what i meant is when i first startup my bike got light. later when stopped at traffic light then no neutral light. some times i rely on looking at the light when wearing thick safety shoes to ride.now like no sense of security.

and how much does a resistor cap cost?

does the light come on & off? if no light already, check the bulb. but if i'm not wrong, the bulb is inside!! same as the temp bulb. gota open up then can test. or the wiring from neutral light to the wire harness @ the below seat got problem.

"Test the bulb first, if no good check the neutral wire to loom connection under the seat and finally test sensor.

You should get a circuit through the neutral wire to ground when in neutral." this reply is from uk...

i just went there about 2 weeks back. he dont wanna do gsxr alr. he says its a headache bike. my carb rebuilt also he doesnt wanna do, valve clearance/timing chain also dont wanna do. dont even dare to ask him about *ways of* removing the powercuts. and my bike is considered very well maintained alr, even by his standards. but there still seems to be no changing his mind. *sigh*

anyone know any other good shops other than guan hoe malaya?

my ex owner did the bike there and turned out to be a bad job, i had to re-do everything.
