Relax relax... there's one ex-gixxer from our group went down GH last time, to service carb...and mr chew dun even wanna help him service the carb coz he claims that the carb is not original... who wun be pissed? but lan lan lo..sux thumb.

 

s0metimes carb tuning realli depends on their mood which i dun realli like it lah...but i gian the cheap service of carb. My bike was tuned at GH...feels ok with it,altho not as power as b4 when i 1st got my bike,coz i ask mr chew i want to save petrol~! :smile: guess u need to be around when they are servicing ur bikey bah~

Hey Shawn, if u are gg to K&T, lemme know... See if I can go down with you and let Clifford chk ur carb. At least I quite "sek" with him, can help u tok... Well, hope GH will fix up your bike and no need to go K&T lah...

 

Well, I did had some prob with my carb back then, he changed the float (something lidat, not too sure), svervice and tuned it. Was quite bad initially, but after a few days, things are ok... Not too sure if its the charac of GSXR carb, coz mine always off tune, then back to ok again after wacking it in Msia.

 

your prob sounds like improper tuning done, shd be able to rectify quite easily...

Ya lor.. must really stay down there whenever service bike liao. Jialat...today overslept think gh closing soon already.

Open your carbs and you'll see alot of rust.

Then you open your fuel tank and see whether can find rust spots or not.

 

Normally when you "clear carbon" by opening the throttle wide open,

it'll somehow allow the rust that's clogging the jets to go into the chamber and

thus, somehow after doing that, your bike's jetting goes back to "normal" cos

not so much rust clogging the jets.

relax bro...I gt the same situation like u...totally same...tats y i can understand ur feelin...veri the*du lan rite?me too...i was so angry...lanlan loh...push back to GH to reset..

it realli depend on his mood...no choice...paid liao...wat they can do is tune for u foc...

i remembered....

1st time i went there...they change my manectic coil w/o askin me wanna change anot...$180

2nd time i visit him...he nv screw back my oil tank

3rd time...he washed my carb n the tunning sux...

4th time...he say my bike done by 2pm..i wait till 4.30pm....

Went to planet n let them check.. he say throughout most of those suzuki went GH service will cum back to his shop n service .. haha.He had pointed out da problem.. its all abt my carb. N he say da tuning is screw up. I dint even tell him anything at 1st. i just say.. my bike jialat la..then . he throttle my bike... hear da sound. He quote me $80 for servicing da carb since everything was changed inside. ( not comfirm yet ). But i plan to call my fren ride to GH let tat old man redo anything he can.. then if still cmi.. then im going planet liao. HAI !!!! all my fault. :cry:

 

PLUS.. after visiting.. my temp meter not working.. fan switch on.. onli 1 side of da fan working. Air horn not working.Sparkplug connector cable pull until cum out.. n BLACK TAPE for me onli think i dint notice tat.Hate this kind of attp...non stock 1 bo chiam anyhow do.

ya lor.. i will go back to GH for setting.. he sure kpkb wan. Nvm if still cmi.. then i'm going down K&T liao. i rem GH tuning last me for a few ride onli.. K&T tuning last much more longer. Think got x 50 times. :sian:

Btw, got technincal question to ask,

 

How do we adjust the air/fuel ratio on our bike? issit done by looking at the equipment with 4 tubes with a ball inside it?(dunno wad its called) and turning a screw on the carb? Else, wad does that piece of equipment actually show?

 

Or does it have to be done by changing the jettings? still quite confused by all these terms.

Fmm from wad i noe ( not 100% sure wan ) Jetting tuning will run out after wacking ur bike in high rev or quite sometime... n for tat equipment u'r saying, its to set which of its fuel, air intake etc. Tune. As long as da 4 ball r in line at da middle range..means it was sset correctly.For adjusting must use screw driver n adjust.. then rev again n see tat equipment.. adjust... rev again. ( hehe.. this is wad i noe.. not comfirm correct wan :sweat: )

 

 

Ehh i wanted to ask anyone of u interested in sharing to buy a REDLINE waterwetter( hightly recommended coolant ) n DIY flushing ur radiator n coolant sys ?? 1 bottle of waterwetter can treat up 2 18L of distilled water, which means 9 bikes.( each 2 L ). So anyone ? coz i might be joining a group of bandit in doing this.

as for the water wetter, are ya sure its 2ltr for each bike or rather a gk76a??

even if its really so, you'll still have to top up a bit of WW from time to time.

hmm..if i'm not wrong, the four balls in the tubes thing equipment (in it's called a manometer) is only used to show that the four carbs are balanced. Balanced as in the pressure in all four carbs are equal so that they operate/idle smoothly.

 

Adjusting the air fuel mixture is something foreign to me so no help there :cheeky:

i might be interested.....but diy to change coolant for our bike is no mean feat...considering that we still have to remove our oil tank just to reach the coolant cap..... Feel very leychey ah....

haha.. its okie i will help u remove it. i remove quite a number of time.Change sparkplugs , respray my tank etc...

but if you've really read thru ww's reviews, why do u still recommend Engine Ice,

another anti-freeze agent? thats the whole reason why we wanna use WW in the

first place. contradicting leh ur statements. :lol:

anyways, would advice u to get a bottle for urself or share with just 1 or 2 close friends.

why? coz you'll have to top up WW from time to time. btw, plannin to diy???

Rode to work this morn oni to discover that my precious is leaking coolant.....dun even know where its coming from....haiz.....need to bring to workshop to get it fixed liao.....Sianz....

try warm up the bike for sometime...then if u saw coolant leakin try to figure out where it cum from...there 3 rubber tube(left near sparkplug,center n right)...or u can go GH to repair..but make sure u noe where it leak n call them in advance coz they need to order...if not u gonna put ur bike there for whole day/collent nxt day
