Dear blackandit,

thank for your advise but i would like to know does your friend hold class 3 license as well?? as what wanwanwan say once revoke all will revoke.

unless they suspend me maybe 3-6 months? it will be the greatest blessing.

i am really demoralised. No definate answer at all now.

He had Class 2B, 2A & 2. He only retained his Class 2B. I know it sounds rather funny and dubious but under extenuating circumstances, the court was able to hear out his plea.

my best advice to you is to appeal through the MP. but if the appeal fails, all classes under ur license would be revoked. i wish you all the best. and next time if you feel giddy, go public. :)

Go to MP and appeal, prepare all your information, this is your best option. Many forumers here are nice people, but they are not in position to decide the fate of your licence, only can give your sound advices, which you have already.

Important when meet MP session, not to justify your case of letting your friend rides your bike, but admit it, and asked for leniency. Judges usually are more harsh with pp who are wrong and yet still denied it. MPs doesn't like to pp to come to help but appear they are right when they are wrong.

I have a friend who were in similar situation. After much appeal, part of licence is revoked.

Giving you example of such cases is not that you will be similar case, but that appeal to MP is not totally no use. Appeal is both humble & hard work you must be prepared to have. Sometime, Judges sometime give leniency in their statements too.

Most important, such cases is case by case basis, so no one in forum can tell what will happen to your licence. Just all the best to you.

Just to clear a grey area, its possible to keep a class of ur license even though u are revoked a certain class. eg, 10 jan u get class 3, 11 jan u get 4 points on ur license, 12 jan u get 2b, 13 jan u get 9 points on ur license, ur class 3 will revoke while ur 2b won't. It happened to me and i still got the letter from TP informing me of my revocation of class 3 but retaining of class 2b.

but for this case, its isnt a matter of points but a matter of a heavy offence that isnt even in the demerit point system so really its up to the judge. unfortunately i have yet to see or hear a case whereby riding without a valid insurance to the bike doesnt result in a revoke. Suspension of license is usually given when u run out of points to deduct and when u are over your probation period. rarely or i would say never will it happen to such a case of the TS. But still u can appeal through your MP, never try nv know. but just be really prepared as chances are slim. not pouring cold water, just telling you my point of view. it can be ignored. GOOD LUCK!

If Your License Have To Be Revoked, Confirm Both Class 3 & 2B Will Be Revoked. No Such Thing As Revoke One & Keep The Other. Revoke Means They Really Want You Not To Drive Anything On The Road And Endanger Others.

But If You Say Ure Not Feeling Well, Ive Heard Before That The Judge Can Say That By Right, A Rider Must Never Pillion Anyone Who Is Not Feeling Well.

If It Really Is True Then How?

Maybe You Can Say U Injured Your Wrist or Sumthing?

Or Say That You Had A Bad Stomach Ache & Cannot Focus On The Road.

By Saying Ure Giddy The Judge Might Be Afraid You Might Fall Off The Bike And Endanger Others.

Whatever It Is, May Luck Be On Your Side! Cheers!

Seriously must you type like this? Im sure people haf more difficulty in reading what u haf to say compared to you taking the time to write like this.

strange and tough situation, try appeal to TP and ask MP to write in for u at the same time, not much of a help but can lower the charges

It is possible to be revoked in one class and retain the other. But it depend on your reasons and the judge's decision.

My siggy is lifted directly from the road tax renewal notice today, no intimination intended, lol.

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

Thanks all for all the concerns.

Yup i have found out that there might be chances of retaining 1 license and revoke another but "CASE TO CASE BASIS" is the terms i learned from this incident. I am now still awaiting for the result to be out should be somewhere next week.... Arghhhhh~~

God Bless...

Now i know why my insurance keep on going up..

Is ppl like this that take thier chances on the road.. just to save that taxi fare cost or the price of conviences and the whole community have to suffer....

What an act...

For the TS... You knoe it is wrong just bite the bullet and face the music.. Revoke is confirm... as you can see the amt of damage can be done.. There is no way for you to escape frm it..

By engaging a lawyer.. i think you will make the matter worst.. my suggestion just face it. You are lucky here the insurers dont check on your traffic offence record during renewal or proposal of bike insurance. If they do.. i dont think any insurers will dare to insured you...if they do expect a high premium!

Remember if you let someone drive u back home without proper insurance coverage. Anything happen.. Insurers will wash thier hand off the claims.. You are on your own... The driver will then claim against you directly. And they will claim from the owner of the bike as well.. So that explain why the owner and the uninsured rider will lose thier license. Why would you want to do that for???

That is why the law is strict on such cases.... Else why they want to make it that way..

Take it as a learning lesson... you are lucky nothing happen to you. What if something happen??? You think money and sorry is sufficient?

I wonder how many more riders have to lose thier license and rice bowl over such incident as these will they learn....

Think again....

Hi all,

my friend and i was caught on national day after NDP.

On our way back along ECP i was feeling giddy and in the mid of highway i ask my friend to ride me home so we stop at te road shoulder to change rider.

therefore my friend was riding on my bike and me as the pillion.

my friend was holding a valid license but the insurance of my bike does not cover her a the sub-rider.

We were riding at 60km and on the extreme left lane but unlucky enough the TP was riding beside us and stopped us. He told us that both of our license will most prob. be revoked plus fine. I will be charge for abettment for giving consent for my friend to ride and she will be charge to riding without insurance. I am holding a Class 3 and 2B while my friend holding class 2B. I desprately hope that i could keep my class 3 as i really need it for my work as a sales exec. we beg the TP for liency but he ask us to appeal through proper channel which is the MP.

The plus point here is my friend owned a bike herself which is a more convincing reason that she is not riding my bike for fun is really that i am not feeling well after the NDP celebration and she riding me home.

do anybody have similar cases recently? and what is the outcome ?

Hope to hear reply soonest.

I heard of similar stories about a guy and his wife at vivo, having the same reasons, trust me it doesn't end good.aniwae my advise is.go ask ur paralegal .ur MP will do help abit, but trust me, he will have little power when it comes to helping you if u r caught flouting the law, with or without reason.most to most,i have seen my frens get lieniency revoked for 6 months the least but the fine stay the same.ur class 3 will be oso put under review but u won't get pinned for ur car license.Hope you get all the luck u need for u and ur pillion.T.c,if u get off the hook .Dun do it again HOrrrr.:thumb:

:thumb: Well said Bro. Same goes to those who drink drive. I've been with SPF NSF and have already ORD. Did countless R/Block, and i can say, almost all the road block we did, 80% have at least 1 who drink and drive which makes me think, our road is not safe at all! I've seen a drunk driver, who hit a motorcyclist that stopped at a traffic light and drove off infront of me! I attended to the motorcyclist who had 50-50 chances of survival which i think he did not survive at all. Damn all those who play with the law. May all of them be punished severely.

Sorry TS.
