Suspension upgrade done (Penske 8983 rear and AK-20 Traxxion Dynamics front with 1.1 springs and 7W oil), done by Joshua of Bikelab.

First impressions - feels great, especially the rebound :) Will try to do a long-term review after a while - ...

Hi everyone,

 

Just get my hand on a Bandit 1250 with after market pipe. My first tank of fuel is getting 13.46km/litre on Singapore road. Looking at the fuel tank capacity of 19 litres, the range of this bike is a little short for touring, I guess. What is the fuel efficiency that you are getting and for those who tours on the bike, are you able to clock 220km before re-fueling?

 

Having a ride up Hatyai end of the month, but a little concern about the range that the bike can go in-between stops. :D

Hi there and congratulations on your new ride! 13.5 does sound below average - my gsx 1250 fa gives me around 17 kmpl while touring. Once I almost hit 300 km before I refuelled!

May be u should try riding on highways around town during off peak hours for another couple of tankfulls to get an average and then u can check with a good mechanic?

As it came with aftermarket pipe. Previously owner may have decat it. Without proper tuning, that could cause higher FC for more HP

You can consider tachyon motor
Bike just out from Tachyon. Tune to slightly leaner. Tuning by previous owner seems ok. Will monitor the fuel efficiency for a while.

Congrats on ur new bike ! It's a reliable bike to go touring wif lots of low end torque . Top end not so awesome though . Max I tried was 247 kmh n bike was in mostly stock condition except for touring shield ,knn air filter n iridium plugs .

 

Garfield's n Superspeed's Bandits are e ones wif most mods n gadgets .
