if its the same, where can i get a BMC air filter cleaning kit if there is one? or rather, can i use KNN clening kit and follow the same steps?

ok, so i presume i can follow the same steps and wash my BMC filter the same way i wash my KNN?

 

also, can i use my KNN cleaning kit to wash the bmc race filter?

ya.. u can wash it wif knn recharge kit..

use the cleaning agent spray on the filter..

leave it for a while..

then wash it wif water..

then sun dry it..

then use the recharge bottle to coat it..

And i tot they recommend dry naturally...Which is what i always do...Natural air dry..

 

Do not use compressed air

Do not use open flame

Do not use heat dryers

Excess heat will shrink the cotton filter media..

 

I got mine for $20 from Mah Motorparts..

$20 would buy a lot of kerosene! Thats all you need to clean your re-useable filter, if you must. I use nothing more than normal laundry detergent and let it air dry.

 

Then recoat it with oil, if you are frightened of using anything else use the oil from K&N. Though I use gearbox oil, works same way.
