I'm not sure open how long already but I think minimum 6 months. The marina south one is still open but more expensive. 2 hours get 1/2 free, 3 hours then get 1 hour free

Heard from friend that one should not hold a marlin too near to the body..

cause marlin body have mercury, will cos suffocation...

 

But sailfish is OK

got afew gd fishing spots to share...

 

1) pasir ris bridge, near the big playground there...

 

when high tight just start, wow... lots fishes

 

2) bedok jetty, 4 yrs ago very gd.. now.... ehem...

 

4 yrs back when i 1st started, wow lau, 1 morning can catch 50+

 

small fish... the nasi lemak tat size one... kns, just put in water pull up

 

got liao.. no no more la.. heheh

 

3) safra.. rocky area..

 

when i slp, i wake up found a grouper kanna hook.. hahahah

 

4) changi ferry...

 

got crabs to play too.. heeheh

 

5) tanjong rhu, crabs!!!!!!!1

Hello people, i'll be doing a pay-pond fishing on monday 14th aug at Johor bahru. Its 30rm for 3 hrs and its a salt water pond..the action macham not bad lah, got yr jew fish, Barramundis, ah johns, jackies, etc etc...i'll be riding in with a friend. Anyone keen can just join in..We'll probably go in during mid morning..So those keen, call me..92735262 nick

Hi Mika, hmm..how to give direction how to go uh? ehhh..u know wheres permas Jaya?? Anyhow, u go straight up from the money changer there, when u see taman sentosa on your right, u will also see the sigh board stating permas jaya with a bridge sign...then u turn right and go all the way down following signboard to permas jaya. You should successfully go over a bridge with a river below it..its quite a big bridge..then u go straight still untill u see a Jusco shopping center...just before Jusco, theres a traffic light junction u turn right..then go all the way in and follow signboard showing fishing sign. Anyway guys and gals, on monday my catch was pathetic! Not even a bite for 3 over hrs...but i dun blame the pond..it seems like that day the water wasn't right. Even after coming back from JB pond, i went to yishun fishing pond to try my luck, it wasn't good! People there were talking about lousy water. But with a stroke of good luck, just when the pond operator told me my time is up, i asked him to give me 5 more minutes and when i was winding up my line, i hit a table size St john snapper..good fight! Thats abt all. On a good day, it seems u could hit up to 10 fishes in an hour!

 

Well, i should be planning another trip to either JB or Yishun next week either monday, tuesday, wensday or thursday even. Or maybe gonna do 2 trips! Yeah, i'm trying to hint i wanna meet some kakis.. hahahahah..

brother i jus started fishing, and my rod is cheap cheap one..

only like 2.7m only. what kinda bait can use at that salt water pond?

live bait or lure? or both?

Well, regarding what bait uh, it really depends on what food were the fishes fed with at the particular pond. But the usual live prawns/bait fish or fish meat works at most salt water pond. I usually recce a new pond 1st to see what the regulars there fish with, then i fish. Remember the saying " Do what the romans do in rome"

Anyway, cheap rod or not, at least u make a start in fishing But hope u practice catch and release when u catch fishes besides Pay pond so to help conserve the fish stock and to be able to enjoy fighting the big ones in many years to come

the reason i ask what bait can use coz i remember, the fishing pond in Pasir Ris are nto allow to use lure, only can use live bait.

anyway me jus came back from Pasir Ris, sick of catfish.. anyone can suggest a place for me to fish this weekend, somewhere there's no catfish... hah! and what bait is ideal for that place.
