Agent bike vs parrallel imported bike

Hi guys,

 

been aiming to get a 1st hand bike.

but some shop quoted me with a agent bike and some with a parralled imported 1.

 

can i noe wat the diff ar? wat r the pros and cons of each bike?

from what I understand, if this particular bike, example: Yamaha YZF-R1 digital speedo having some problem (due to manufacturing fault). Agent could recall all the existing R1 which is under agent warranty and rectify it for free.

 

Whereas parallel import R1 owners gotta fork out their money and service it.

 

But sometime you can buy the bike from shop and still cover by agent warranty. Yamaha bike in particular, you'll find a reflective sticker with a big Yamaha wording. Those are bike under agent warranty.

 

Bike purchase from agent itself usually slightly expensive then shop.
