there are not many choices in this category. these are the common ones

aprilia rs125/cagiva mito if you have a good budget, 2 stroke, insurance and parts killer. maintainence more complicated than 4 strokers. new about 12 k, 2nd hand can get about 2-3k plus left maybe about 2-4 years

honda nsr / kawasaki kips if you have a moderate budget, 2 stroke, parts are reasonable maintainence like aprilia, kawasaki insurance killer as well. new about 5-6kplus, 2nd hand 2 k onwards depending on condition. nsr no longer in production though.

honda cbr 150 moderate budget, 4 stroke, parts and maintainence reasonable and easy, insurance reasonable.new about 4-5kplus.2nd hand 2-3k depending on condition.

price of bike very subjective, depend on mileage, condition, years etc, so check it out with the shops and classifieds. mine is really a rough estimate.

hope it helps

Hi there,

sports bike for 2b?

Is it your wish to get a sports bike or because of your friends having it. o_O

-What I'm suggesting is 1st try to get to know the road well "road knowledge" and other road users behaviour during peak hours and normal hours.

FYI "It's a Jungle out there"

-People buy Sports bike for sheer performance- especially speed and handling.

-If you are interested get it when you have 2A or class 2-with better road knowledge.

-Regardless of any CC whether for "2B, 2A or class 2" sports bike must be in tip top condition -"performance parts" more money spend thou- no cheap tyres, brake pads, oil or so...and not forgetting most importantly knowledge of your bikes' characteristics. regular servicing is a must.

-"Sports bike" Your insurance will be high that for sure.

-As you are sourcing for a 2nd hand bike get a bike that you can handle and less on your pocket - on insurance, servicing and maintenance.

-I hope you understand what I am saying- be safe and happy.

-Be wise in what you choose...:thumb:

two types of engine, 2-strokes and 4-strokes. in short,2-strokes,more torque, require constant maintainence. 4-strokes,less torque, simple maintainence. 2-strokes no longer in production (for jap model)

impt to take note of engine cond. appearance is secondary. get a fren or some1 who noes bikes to view with u. advice, get from private seller if possible.
