faster smoother n more powerful for low end and pick up from 100km/hr at 4k rpm..

 

tested both on the nsh n the surge of power from 09 r1 is much more powerful compared to my 08 model which feel sluggish at 4k rpm 100km/hr.

 

but 1 thing i felt is that when ur nearing top end speed.. inline 4 feels better than 09 r1. i can feel more power from my 08 at 260 onwards compared to the crossplane r1.

 

thats my feeling though

Need some comments from u guys who are riding the 09' cross-plane R1. How do u feel when u are riding the cross plane R1 compare to the normal in-line four litre bike in terms of power delivery?

Guys! Thanks for your input. I watch the R1 introduction on youtube. There is 1 part where it says the cross plane technology makes u feel connected to the wheel when u throttle. True?

 

Are the different type of mode available on the R1 controls the opening of the throttle flap? It does by altering the map of the throttle position against % of throttle opening??

Bike is alr make to spec, its up to the rider to control the beast. Just be confident in ur ride. Not over confident. Over confident can lead to disaster. Get to know ur ride n how it behave when u squeeze the throttle. :thumb:

Yup.. the A mode is crazy ass power... cant control it... if you are not ready, the slipper clutch engage and the bike moves off... so every move needs good attention... thats y i ride it at standard mode always.. and only got to A mode when i feel like " Chionging ! "..

Cornering wise standard mode is easier to control.. A mode has got too much raw power..

 

Top speed wise.. yes it will feel abit sluggish... but to reach the top.. i believe it just might do the job better.... Anyways... If you have the budget, y not get the new ones instead ??
