hi guys,

I'm getting a 09 r1 soon, but when i go to the shop n start the bike, it has this rattling sound. i search online and it suggested to be the cam chain tensioner. u know of anyway i can repair that?

and i go close up on the right of the bike, i also hear this fine rattling sound when its on idle, issit because of the CCT?

Hi guys, any idea why is my R1 (07/08) having this "clark clark clark" sound whenever I clutch in.

Sounds like very very soft dry clutch sound on those ducs. Is it a common problem on R1?

 

Ive experienced this on my R1 07 before.

Go to shop to check the clutch housing.

Your clutch housing might already been worn out.

Mechanic can check by trying to turn / moving the clutch housing clockwise and anti clockwise..

If yours is loose, then its time to change the clutch housing..

r1 07/08 common problem is the magnet and coil others are fine. oh some said tps a issue but mines perfectly fine

 

Any idea what r the signs & symptoms when the magnet & coil r starting to give problems?

 

Coz currently my bike will produce a "thug" sound the moment i press the start button to start my bike.

The sound seems to b coming from under the seat and under the tank area.

Anyone experiencing this proble before?

Could it b the starte-motor problem?

Anyone experience a major problem with the coil n magnet before / overhaul?

Or anyone still using the magnet n coil n doing fine?

Wondering how much it cost to replace it..

You should replace it soon IMO. My '07 was perfect till I couldn't start it one day and found out later that the coil gave way.
