morning guys.. just got my r1 yesterday.. took over from one of the forummers here.. bro edalpha.. got alot of getting use to and alot more to learn.. hope to learn pointers from the old birds here..

HI there.. i wna know weather its better to use 180 or 190 size tyre for the rear.. cos currently im using 180 for my rear wheel... im nt sure wuds the diff and which is better..?

180 or 190 refers to the width of the tyre.

 

If u are those who like to play corners, 180 gives u better handling and better flickability for your bike.

 

If u are those who likes to play top speed on straight roads, 190 is better as wider tyres are more stable.

hi bros i wanna ask abt my r1. while riding, wen i clutch in my bike suddenly died dwn. i quickly release the cluch and it start back. i put the bike to neutral and the rpm like nt stable then died again. this have happen not always but sometimes. is it the battery prob? or sprak plug? hmm. but after ir died, it can start easily. nt sure batt prob or sprk plug

i heard from the sales person that it was an ang mor buy but seldom ride le.. saw the bike good condition and termi pipe.. haha.. loud anot arr??

 

LOLX.. now you know how HOT R1 is arr.. i oso kana con when i joy ride my friend's R1 when considering to get CLASS2 bike... didn't know the hotness until i buy and ride... LOLxxx...

 

Currently i oso using Engine Ice... oso same la... consistently kana 3 traffic light you can prepare the FAN blow liao.... i ask mechanics they say R1 is likedat hot one unless remove wad THERMOSTAT or something..... didn't think its safe to do so... anyone know about this THERMOSTAT thing in R1??

 

one impt tip to keep R1 cooler is... Always ride with a FULL TANK... i found out that when i travel in like 1/8 almost empty tank... the oil tank gets super HOT... and then you will feel your groin and inner thigh super super burning already.....

anywayz... mine is 08 model...I oso have this prob... the RPM below 1 and very unstable like wan to die wan to die off likedat... and when it dies, damn hard to start the bike again right??

i know its coming when i low rev and my pipe still got the popping sound when i engine brake means i clutch in engine will die off le....

if i'm not wrong i ask some lao jiao b4.. he said its the YCC-I and YCC-T ratio.. either too much intake less throttle , or too much throttle too less intake....

Ya it's black in colour with termi pipe but I don't know who was the last owner of that bike. looks worth the bucks to buy with aftermarket pipe, spyalarm and PC3. The termi pipe is too fierce. Wanna get one but costly. Range from 2k-2.9k depends on material just for slip on.

 

I compared with my friend k4 after riding and I didn't feel any heat from his bike. But still r1 looks are great. haha.

nas u just get the bamboo pole as ur pipe.... much louder then stock....
