I'm thinking to enrol in a Defensive Riding Course at BBDC.

 

Any fellow PKs who is interested also? Perhaps we can go as a group so that it can be a meetup session as well as a "skills level up" session together also.

BBDC is kinda out of the way for me as i am living in Sengkang.

i took under the saf rate..so about 50plus dollars.

the course is half a day, consisting of theory and practical. did many sharp turns, and most imptly, learnt how to handle skidding. saved me a few times on the road.

end of the course they will give a cert.

congrats... enjoy yourself there... although it would probably be better if you have more road experience to fully appreciate what defensive riding course can do for you...

I am interested but i am worried about the course fees. Poor after buying bike liao ...

Haha maybe you should check with your superiors? I'm not sure if SCDF has a similar scheme like SAF but you should at least check first before forking out $61 (which could be spent on new mods )

scdf n spf is under home team, which is different from saf... both home team and saf are different in many way, but i do feel saf have better welfare when they r outside camp(subsidized in many stuffs, safra card)

I have checked with CDC and they have this half-day course but have to use their bikes any other centres allow us to use our own bikes?

you know... one segment of the course requires you to skid (and possibly crash)... who would want to bring their own bikes for the course...

i only sign up when i comfirm that @ ssdc i can use thier bike for the course .

I thought the course is to teach us how to avoid skidding in the 1st place? Scary....
