I thought the course is to teach us how to avoid skidding in the 1st place? Scary....

the course not only teach you what could cause skidding but also how to handle skidding. its really helpful.:)

anyone interested to attend the course? we can go together, make more friends and enjoy the course together.

for me, i staying west side so i would prefer BBDC......

@ Phantom_maverick:

we will be using 2B bikes provided by the centres. imo, by applying the correct tatics and techniques, we can save ourselves regardless of the size of our bikes.

individual experiences will be gained as we grow with the size of our bikes. :cheeky: :thirsty:

Anyone went for defensive riding course recently? Is it advisable for a p-plater to sign up for such course or should gain more riding experience first? Being driving for 14 years and switching to riding is quite a rude shock. Suddenly feel so vulnerable, knowing that one simple mistake could mean falling down and getting injured. Hope to learn how to skid and how to handle skidding.

i took my DRC abt 2 weeks after getting my bike (abt 4 weeks from passing). the skills u learn in DRC can easily be practiced and honed further wen u ride outside.

i went for bbdc defensive riding, the one you need to ride into camp.

never learnt anything about skidding control whatsoever. guy basically theory awhile, put us on the bike and then we all rode very fast and corner very fast around the circuit. waste of money.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)
