I really hope this guy riding w/o valid licence will be charged in court.

1) Borrowing friends bike for "test ride" also known as JOY RIDE! NO!.... Even they allow i wont do that. I dunno abt you....

 

2) Ridden a bike w/o VALID licence. You mention here is WITHOUT valid licence.... Of cos "NO!"

 

So as you can see your both post DOESNT MATCH wat you say...... you can be smart, but try not to be too smart if it can expose your ............

lolx.. I so far.. didn't really borrow...

did not secretly ride a bike w/o valid license...

 

even test bike.. I stand next to my bike.. start.. rev a few times.. listen to engine.. off bike.. go counter and pay.. call up NTUC.. buy insurance.. ride home...

 

road tax already paid by previous owner..

 

so... i didn't break any rules *so far... lolx..

I may sound very mean n bad... But I seriously wish that the government may revised the current age limit for riders and drivers on the road... especially drivers... Guess the current casualities rate r too high le.... Jus set the age to 25 or to 30 even... Best... (I am not yet the mentioned age..) I am not that old yet but Seriously from wat i see on the road n off the road... Young rider r jus purely talking about racing n faster... wheresle old riders r talking bout safety...

 

Lastly, I wish to mentioned that this time I will sure kana flamed....

lolx.. thinking about it.. i should say, everyone should go for a "psychology" test yearly.. If they failed the test, banned them from riding for 1 week and re-test..

 

1st test is free.. after that den chargable.. :D:D ideal?

Cos i agree with you. hahaha. but come to think of it they wont do that. cos alot of young rich kids wanna buy cars and bike at 21. i just wish that someone can invent something that will not crash and wont get injured if fall. Like magnet repelling force. You can never get in contact with anything.

lolx.. idea... magnet repelling.. maybe not repelling.. something like vehicle "force" to stop immediately... especially for kids.. inject into body, enable to force *metal stuff that coming to you at high speed to stop immediately when it's just a cm from you..

You wanna test wat in a bike? Wat are you looking for to test in a bike? If you tell me abt riding posture then bo bian. But you wanna test wat? just wanna see the general answer.

Yup! there is always a risk.. even a new bike can turn out to be a lemon due to manufacturer's fault. Anyway, I feel it is too extreme to compare riding a lay up bike without licence against a sin of test riding a bike without insurance .

Hmmmm test it in a legal way lor.

1) If you wanna try posture, sit on it without the engine on and the keys.

2) Power??? errrrr how are you going to test the power in constrain areas?

3) Handling. You can only tell after you own the bike. Unless very pro then can full handle a bike first hand ba. IMO.

4) Vibration? Hmmmmmm

 

I think if you wanna try a bike with private owner i think best is you ask him to pillion you one round. Which i find its the best for both party and safe.

 

You can tell if you like a bikes handling if you just try it one round. You have to own it then you will knw. All these issues you dun own the bike you wouldnt knw.

 

Yes i agree that buying from private is risk. But to me most important is you like the bike first. Do some study then buy the bike. To me all these power issue doesnt comes important. A skilled rider with a 2B bike can be a pain in a class 2 novice rider arse.

 

Most important to me in a resale bike is the condition. Which is very important. even if it gives you power that can fly you to the moon but it only takes you there but doesnt takes you back and wats the point.

 

So to me hmmmm mabbe its personal view. I find if you like the bike, the next most important thing is the condition. Regarding handling then you have to OWN IT..... to knw it. I dun believe anyone who wanna buy a bike can understand the handling with one trial round.

 

I always see when ppl try the bike for buying they always wack the bike for power.... Power is not by wacking it hard. Its staying in the power band all the while. If you take ppls bike and just wack just to test power, why not let the selling wack your bike as well....

Best is ask him to pillion you on the bike to test lor.

You go bike shop i dun think they are allowed to let you test the bike also. Unless they knw you. But they are taking a risk also.

BEST is get ur license first lo. just have to pass that important milestone in riding a bike and case solved.

 

then can 'test' any bike you want, provided in the same class-ing of ur license. even if suay suay TP caught u, at least u have license and can say u testing out the bike u buying. plus, the seller is there to back this as proof.

This is wrong. Even with license, the insurance does not cover the 'tester'. In the event of an accident, who to answer? I don't think tester will believe that statement. As for the seller, he will just disappear and reappear and say you trying to steal the bike to save his own self.
