Just an interesting read for you....

In our Singapore context, it is actually a small displacement and a bike with gear differentials....

It is very debatable as many bikes have a mix of the qualities of being cheap in maintenance and being fuel efficient.

I will give you the best possible bikes that will fall into the category;

1) From Honda we have: C70, CG 125, Wave 100,110,125 and CM125,XR 125,200 etc

2) From Yamaha we have: Lagenda 110, YBR 125, Spark 135, X1-R etc

3) From Suzuki we have: GN 125, DR 200 etc

4) From bajaj we have: pulsar Dtsi 180,200 ,Avenger 180,200

All other brands that maybe not be featured due to small population on our roads also deserve recognition....

It is also due to how well a carburetor is set in a motorcycle!!!

RIDDEN

1) HONDA NSR 125RR FM365H (full ownership)

5th Sept 2006 - current

2) YAMAHA RXZ 135 FR2289E (full ownership)

1st Sept 2008 - 20th March 2009

3) PIAGGIO X9 180 FU6124E (full ownership)

11th May 2010 - current

good fc n cheapest maintenance, cup kias r the super top best.

tat's why they r very popular in countries like thailand, vietnam, cambodia, laos, malaysia, etc, etc.

So if there was a comparison among them for which are the few bikes that have the most power (4 stroke)?

to my knowledge of the relatively common ones..

cbr150...

i might be wrong.. r15 has slightly lesser power den cbr150

YBR will have my vote for this one..superb consumption and cheap maintenence.very good bike for despatch.full tank is 12ltrs and furthest I travel was 575km in 11.4ltrs.should be able to hit 600km for the 12ltrs,I guess.

For power 4stroke cub,I feel Suzuki raider would be quite a safe bet..hehe

for the best FC and cheap mainteinance, get an electric-powered bicycle! no need COE, insurance, road tax or whatsoever.

seriously, if u want a good fc, get a 4 stroke bike with a huge tank. go pump jb, and you'll have double the FC. i never looked back when i had my pulsar. i can rode everyday like anybody's business but it's always around full tank worth of usage every week. as for maintenance, just get a bike with a reliable engine and that can save you more money than a cheap ass bike.

the scope of bikes you should be looking out for will be yamaha ybr(good bike but design-wise suck!) or the new honda tiger. it is the smaller version of a super 4. if it's like its brother, i think you should go for it. a big tank with 200cc and a good pair of fat wheels, it's definitely safer and more stable than those small bikes. you may go for an r15, it also have good fc with great sportsbike design, importantly, big tank as well.

i tot bajaj pulsar was the best FC?

maintainability isnt really that different also.

My vote for YBR125 too!

best bike is not have the most fuel-saving bike.

cos very good fc bike is tune very lean.

tat means the engine doesn't produce good horsepower.

it runs very very hot which means it will overheat.

overheat can damage or burnt the engine parts, can even seize the engine.

first thing u notice is the spark plug electrode burnt-off (thinning).

most factory settings r lean to meet emission standard set in different countries or regions.

tat's why we tends retune carb or efi to produce more horsepower.

best FC, one of the best contenders la. but u cannot compare 180/200cc with that of 125cc of YBR. pulsar gives u stronger pick up but ybr gives you slightly better FC. no doubt about that. the other problem is... even though bajaj is from india, cheap stuffs, they import from india, which is more expensive than import from malaysia or thailand for ybr. so, if engine got problem or simple maintenance like changing sprockets, bajaj pulsar will be more expensive.

things to note, you can never go wrong with honda or yamaha. if they have it in thailand, malaysia or india, spare parts will be cheap.

gosH! i didn't know ybr is from china. how about cbf? anyway, both of these bikes have excellent fc but with a weird outlook. i think these 2 bikes need to look cool and they will be selling out fast. and they are cheap to buy too!

So now you know... CHINESE bikes.

You can also find Chinese characters all over the bike.
