Hey guys . I am 18 years old new here and taking my 2B license now . I've been eyeing for r125 since i was 15 . Can anyone here help me? I don't know much on how to buy a bike . I am really interested in this bike but i am scared if would get cheated at bikeshop . I am going to get this bike first hand . Can anyone tell me how much is the Machine price + COE + Insurance + Road Tax + (Anything i might miss ) . At least how much i must pay for the downpayment? Can i just down my Insurance? If yes , how much is it and how much should i pay for the installment monthly for (4years/3years[or the maximum years available. Not sure how many years is maximum) . I really hope someone out there would help me out ! Don't be harsh towards me , im a pure newbie here .

 

Well now the machine price cost S$12k. for 25 years old and below insurance plus the current COE. The whole bike will cost around S$15k include those road tax or whatever IU thing. A down payment of S$3K is a must as request by the loois motor.

 

Hence do the maths here...

S$15k - S$3k = S$12000 left to pay

Each year having a loan interest rate of 5%.

 

Spread throughout 5 years will be 5 x 5 = 25%, so 25% x S$12000 = S$15000, Each month = 15000 / 60 months = $250 per month

Spread throughout 4 years will be 5 x 4 = 20%, so 20% x S$12000 = S$14400, Each month = 14400 / 48 months = $300 per month

Spread throughout 3 years will be 5 x 3 = 15%, so 15% x S$12000 = S$13800, Each month = 13800 / 36 months = $383 per month

Spread throughout 2 years will be 5 x 2 = 10%, so 10% x S$12000 = S$13200, Each month = 13200 / 24 months = $550 per month

 

So unless you pay a higher down payment, if not every month you are going to suffer ~ that monthly cost does not include your petrol cost, your monthly parking fee nor your cashcard. So think about it...

im gonna buy it, because i have my 2b since 2007, didnt think of upgrading to 2a or 2..because i have class 3. so this is why i willing to buy even if is 15k

Since 2007? 4 years of experience? Guess your insurance will be much more cheaper ba.. Haha u going to pay full cash or by installment? If u going down to loois motor. Mind helping me find out is there any black and gold R125 stock? Know which 1 i saying?

this coming feb 5 years le, insurance only $500+ , i will be taking 3 years loan, then can use some money to change leovince exhaust full system($1100).

ya i know which one but need to wait until they reopen shop. u also buying?

Guy if u all wan to change when u all gt 2A i think u all buy R15 better. If u all wan sporty n nice n nt change can think of R125. Btw after cyn i will loois. Any1 wan go?

YanyanJe: No one will be harsh here. Don't worry.. Forums are place for disscussion. Noob question is a good ground for old bird to build upon their knowledge though.

But.. this kinda thing you have to consider many MANY level of question.

Insurance is a must pay upon downpayment. Its per year basis. There is not such thing as pay upfront for X number of years first cause you might earn NCD (no-claim discount) along the way. SCREW anyone who told you to upfront. Cause insurance premium changes with your riding exp + the choice of bike (street bike or sports bike) + NCD + age grouping.

 

Downpayment from looi's standard 3K. You can pay more if you like.

Go down with someone who owns a bike b4 or someone who is darn experience to help you with it. I don't mind going bike shopping with you if you don't mind

Basically there is no worries with looi's as they deal clean. No hidden stuff and prompt service.

lol relax... why u sound angry? Lol i dont plan to change to 2A nor Class 2. As the speed is not require in singapore. And power wise. with more power, ppl tend to pull the throttle more... hence accident occur.. so a class 2B can limit myself yea? Lol

Second hand usually are those year 2008 version. Mostly I see so far selling at 9.5k - 10k. some still sell 11k+. For second hand, you do not need to pay for the COE but u will still need to pay for the insurance. if u lucky find a 9.5k, den your insurance, lets say 1.2k. total also around 11k or more. So might as well get a first hand instead? Coz u will never know what happen to those second hand bike... especially those that have custom paint on it. So becareful ya ~ =D

It's not the "total x no. of years" because it is "interest per year" and on the "compounding interest" principal.

Like it or not, 2B bikes are more dangerous in Singapore compared to bigger CC bikes. It's a fact coz I get to see accidents every single day. So yes, a bigger bike doesn't mean it's more dangerous.

It's compound interest. So it's every single year 5%. My was 4% from Mr Lee.
