No lar, red GSA is da' best... :)... Just surprise this "competitor" is such a big diff in price because the reviews for this bike seems pretty good.

GS is still the global reference when come to adv Tourer class.there is no doubt about it.

S.tenere on paper are less power, less torque, less fuel range Pre tank and more heavy then a GSA.no doubt about that too.

It common in this market place to have price differentiation strategy between conti & japs.it apply to cars as well however due to strong yen & weak euro$.the price gap has shrink Abit.

I believe the BEST bike is the One that suit the rider physical & wallet means. Not base on the value of purchase or branding.

In short, buy what one like & ride one what can afford.

Cheers

As per my pic post on Alarm & 3rd brake light, I'd also mentioned that there's 2 wire connector bundles that is dearly prone to water intake.

With some free time, I was mounting the LED blinkers, rear was abit tedious, as what biting_point had said, front was a breeze. & I didnt use the resistors for the front blinkers..

Now, for the record, my worries was confirm, when I went straight to work on the bike after I got back frm a sudden storm.

NPNT, so here goes:

Front bundle of wire connectors with rubber boot facing towards the front, RHS of fairing:

Signal light connectors with water inside:

Signal light connector returns(-ve):

Now, upon close inspection, the rubber boot has holes, which shld meant for drainage, but the way of the water being entrapped, I still decided to change the way the boot is facing, which is away from the front.

For those who are anal about, you can ask yr mech to help, or easily DIY-ed.

Any bro has removed the lef-side panel?

I couldn't managed.

I have removed the 4 screws, the bottom part no issue but the top part very difficult.

Wouldn't want to do a brute force, scare will break the panel.

Cheers

The left panel is together with the painted part..

Besides the 4 screws at the panel, you need to remove the 2 sliver mushroom head screws on the painted Yamaha logo-ed part.. Then under the headlight there's 2 (if i rem correctly) plastic push pins..

I'll remove the 2 plastic push pins first.. Then the rest..

What you wanna do there?

shldnt be that difficult, unless you wana remove the inner part thats holding the radiator.

use a round tip instrument to pop the centre of the plastic push pins, then, either try to pull it out or slowly pull out the fairing which will eject the pins.

cheers!
