Went to west zone 1 bikeshop which my friend wanted to get a S10.

 

The sale person can claim with eye wide open that the price quote does not come with the freebies(3 box,skip plate & engine guard).

Yes, you can buy from HL directly, or any other shops that take bikes from HL. You can consider Loois too, P.I, but might get bike faster + better price (depending on your nego power).

Remember to read the fine prints when getting from any shop. Makes ppl wonder if the shops takes from agent but sells OTR lower than agent right? If all deals are the same then agent won't need to have a showroom for direct sale liao.

 

PI bikes might be of different specs and/or overall package. There's also concerns about warranty and touchwood recalls. Looi's had been around for as long as I can remember but Lee can be quite a difficult person when u try to squeeze things from him.

Japs bike & japs car are quite reliable hence the P.I is doing well in local market.

 

Unlike car,bike has less recall & warranty claim.afterall,local bike warranty is not that much uphold by agent since failure rate is low.

 

Bike also dun have much rubber which unlike some conti car that has tropical package for Asian market & all season rubber for Europe market.

 

End of day, get the bike that u & your wallet can accept and buy from shop that value your business.like the gov ads say....low cost don't mean best value.lolx

did the shop inform you before hand whether it a 2011 model or 2012 model?

 

it looks like a price increase...as some folks got the similar deal at ard S$31k b4 insurance.

the HL promo of freebie will end on this SAT 31/03.Is part of a joint promo from Yummie japs so it ends when it need to be end.

 

if u were to book thur bikeshop. Do note that HL office close at 12noon. Also that the bikeshop "confirm" ur S10 with come with the stated freebie and not wait till next week and then say "oppss...sorry".
