I wonder that also, considering the price is close to the GS. Is it really value for money?

Anyway I'm also wondering who will be the first Super Tenere Owner in Singapore. Hopefully he can give his personal reviews:thumb:

did u read the above link in adv ?

MetalJockey gave good review compared to his own GS and dealer's Tenere (which they abuse it well)

even if it reach to Singapore, owner will pamper and care of his own 40k+ ride and wont be able to give better review on offroad capability (just like GS owners) http://s3.amazonaws.com/advrider/peepwall.gif

I did read his review. All the way to the last page. Yeah I guess you're right. There's no way Local Owner can review as much as him Lol.

But I still like GS look.

I guess this Super Tenere is really giving BM a run for their money regarding their flag ship bike.

One thing I like Yamaha is their substantial marketing advertisement. They let the bike roll out in SA just before World Cup, how wonderful is that.

For Suzuki and Kawas..... They are way behind in the advertisement department......

There are one or two design flaws I spotted, the first being the panniers which although they look aluminium are actually plastic - which on two bikes were broken off in a relatively low speed tumble.

Another one which may or may not be a problem was the frame design on the LHS where it had to be bent around the output shaft in order to clear it. Certainly my limited engineering exposure made me double take when I saw it as it was clearly something that gave Yamaha a few headaches. Whether the design proves to be strong enough or not, only time will tell. Let’s hope they learnt from the previous Super Tenere's incarnation (where the frames snap in a similar place).

I hate those westerners. They make whatever bike they ride look small compare to Asians.:dot:

And they handling the bikes like hot cakes.

Asians also can handle 276.7 kg (610 lb) Varadero like prata

i just link AJ's videos as dont want to :offtopic: from Tenere...

Its just not right to evaluate those bikes on those kinda road. Not comprehensive/exhaustive enough.

Hence not surprising to see why the results turned out that way.

Anyway kmax, u prefer my tourer wif full set of panniers or my Phantom wif 2 rear boxes as per my siggy?
