Very nice pics taken whyzee........going to endau rompin sounds good. Like that need to change tyres...more knobby tires should give you more traction control in muddy gravel road. Stock tyres also can go..but slow n tiring to control the bike in offroad areas....oh...and bike weight with loaded stuffs...

Argee, ideally is a lightweight MX with knobby tires for rompin(when it wet).

However S10 is still able to 'do' rompin.just at slower peace & more energy needed to halt the bike. Overall enjoyment index may not be that high on the S10.having say that,we still can do the mild section at romping just for the feel.

What say the rest? :cheeky:

Definately if have the opportunity will go...if can after fasting month would be great. Need to know when n if confirm will definately need to change tyres...thought of TKC 80, Metzeler karoo T...n still reviewing others. Doing endau is not easy if go on tight trail n steep slopes. If it rains....you wish that tyres have spikes on them n handling be like at least 400cc bike...nyeehehehe...Its gonna be fun.

Thanks whyzee.. If u guys dun mind can i tag along with ur upcoming trail trip? Just wanna test the capability of my GS there. Hope its alrite wif u guys.

But i can only do it in Sept onwards after the fasting month though.

Btw i heard the terrain is rather difficult wif big bikes is tat true? But u guys made it look effortless though. Never been inside so i dun know.

You can hang out at this thread for updates, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem for you to join us. In any case, I dunno about the difficulty, it was my first time trailing with motorcycle, and first time at tanah merah. I managed to make it through. so, if you had some experience, I guess you should be fine. Oh yah, also, the terrain was pretty dry when we were there. So, that definitely saved me.

The anakee so far is very good for me. Cornering better than the bridgestone i had, hard to compare to the tournance as i never tried it b4.

Seems to haf lesser road noise too. Very stable on wet roads too. The tired shape is different from the bridgestone, its rounder imho.

S10 using which type? Panel or cylinder?

panel type..

Do consider DNA air filter as well. looks like it has a bigger filter surface area compared to KNN

KNN

DNA

bro Whyzee, in a previous post u mentioned about using a GPS bought overseas online.

Any problems using an overseas set in Singapore?

Software updates?

How about maps? Malfree or MAL-Sing?

sorry bros, out of topic..

I prefer Malfree as it is much more updated than MalSing. You got to check if MFM make maps for your gps. I know they do the maps for Garmin, but for other brands, you gotta check their forum.

Just for info.

The correct K&N filter for S10 is model number YA-1210.

http://www.knfilters.com/images/l/YA-1210.jpg

The Stock S10 air filter

http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/7196/img2777m.jpg

Which is similar to the stock filter(on outlook) except that the flow rate is much better at 209CFM.

http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=YA-1210

DNA filter allow even MORE air flow however do note that when too much air is sucking into the engine.the proper setup of the exhaust and A/F ratio have to be matching( aka FS eox & PC-V).

So it bolt down to what the owner path of upgrade is.:thumb:

So far germin GPS for bike are nuvi500/550 & zumo220/500.

Which is able to accept MFM maps for local area usage.

Of course extra item like SD card & 3-pin plug are often not included in the GPS package.

Having said that...my eBay nuvi500 are still going strong.haha

Yup. I plan to take a look during the next pc show.

I'm looking for GPS unit that can accept a pre-planned route. So far the cheapest Garmin would be the nuvi1450SG/MY at $250++. Next would be the nuvi24** and nuvi25** series. I'm hoping for a good price during the fair.

Do put into consideration that typical car GPS has shower built-in batt life & non-treated display surface for glare-control.

Which is part reason for bike GPS to Be much more costly and also the waterproof function.

So far 3 type of car GPS I had ,all have lousy batt life(but that's not a issue in a car with charger always ON)

No worries about that either. I have tested the nuvi1350 on a Genting ride just before the fasting month started.

It's true about the battery life. It sucks. I think I can sort that out (luckily the power outlet is within reach), I'm left with the glaring issue which I have an idea on how to solve it partially.
