i got the car-jack that uses power screw that kind, small2 one. how to jack up front tyre? i only know for rear tyre. to jack up front, where do i put the jack?

for front tyre, u shift ur jack to ur curve shaped header. one of the 4 pipes is in 'lower' position, so u place ur jack there and jack up slowly. u will see the front tire slowly rise up

Went to motorworld yesterday and ask them how much to fix main stand. They quoted me $120 for Spec III. I guess Spec II will be the same. Will need to try and ask Boon Siew to see if they carry Main Stand.

Anyway, Mah PL fix main stand for $320. Claimed to be original honda. FYI.

Called Boon Siew today, they like attitude like that.

Boon Siew: "Don't have."

Me: "Can the stand be brought in from Japan?"

Boon Siew: "Our workshop fixed?"

Me: "Yes."

Boon Siew: "Then $500."

 

So expensive over Mah Motors. Guess will get from Motorworld. What you guys think?

jack at where the exhaust '2' become '1', then the rear wil lift up liao..

 

wont dent the exhust one, I used to do tht too when lub the chain..

Would like to know. How is the mainstand for those that fixed on their bike? Any problem when cornering, especially when doing extreme conering.

 

I am thinking of fixing one, but is there any difference between an original and not so original one, apart from the price of course. I don't mind spending a bit more for getting a new, long lasting stand then spending a few to get one that spoils easily.

 

Please advice. I seen one in Motorworld, seems solid but wanna get feedback first.

I have also been looking for a main stand for my Spec 3 but quite difficult to find original one la. Alternatively there is the paddock stand. I saw at bike shop got two types, small and big..they say for below 400 and above 400. Anybody use before and know which type is suitable for S4? Good thing is you no need to fix to bike and use only when needed.

 

Recently someone posted in classifieds that he sells these stands and says he can let us have for RM140 if self collect, but he is in Klamg la. It's selling for $120 here.

I have asked around. For the VTec models, only Spec 2 & 3 are able to put in a mainstand. This is because, Spec 1 does not have the bracket.

 

MotoWorld does mainstand for Spec 3, will cost about $150. If you want an original one, it will cost you $500 + waiting time since they don't keep any here.

 

I intend to put in a mainstand and may consider Motoworld. Any S4 to comment on their mainstand? So far any problem?

got a 2nd hand main stand for my vtec3..I think its the motoworld standard...damn sweet..easy to use wif proper technique in lifting..kinda hooked in using it all the time rather den using side stand..
