Hi everyone

Was recommended to come here to find ah pek about the engine oil n some mixture or sooo anywae got some qs for ah pek since im coming down soon to try it out.

Just took out a spec 3 fy plate 180+k milage and i duno wether e bike shop svc e bike properly as in engine oil n soo. Only thing showed was timing chain coolent flush n stuff but when i ride bike i found out that when i riding in between the throtle there seems to be power loss for example at xpressway i throtle then suddenly like power loss then come back..then e gear changing damn hard most prob havent change engine oil. And milage for spec3 is usaly what lets say i constant ride 90 -100 then i dont open the vtech as often..how long can last...now im going 1 bar left n milage is at 250 i think...wah like that i rode my ver.s can go 340 without reserve n can whack at times....sgh...pls advice

Since you just gotten the bike from the shop, its best that you highlight the problems to the mototiam as I believe there should be a warranty period given. As for difficulty in gear changes, it could be your clutch cable adjustment to your change slack issue. As for the freaky power performance at throttle point, I suggest you let them know because I believe it could be electrical problem or a sensor in the speedo meter side.

Best not to qoute another mech that has done your bike while under their warranty. Good luck.

The back is too hard for your weight..even with pillion. Try dropping by 30...that is 260. Front try 240.

Bro the 290 your talking abt is not psi. Thats more then a 747 tyre pressure. :cheeky:

If I am not wrong it's in another unit. I think its Kpa.

Im just pointing out incase some ppl think its psi and try to pump 250psi :faint:

Good one Metal_Heart. Yes..hardly find pressure pump with "PSI" these days..its KPA and stand s for "KiloPascal" where PSI stands for "Pound/Square Inch".

The conversion value is 1 Kpa = 0.145037737730209 Psi...therefore 240 kpa is 34.8090570552502 psi...etc.

Yes..can. Not sure what you meant by "leaking part is wore out.." but "black colour liquid"...you mean long term iron filing residue worn from gears and become like "oil sludge"? Not sure what we were discussing though base on your message.

Normally, I would suggest people to use X-1R with eo first for their first time before using Nano because not sure of their previous eo type and change interval. The first round of my eo would help get rid of slimy residue. If you wanna use Nano without first fresh eo changed..can oso but do an "engine flush" agent first.

If you want a prime example of how a PB1 can shine. Look at Ahpek's bike you will know. Things you thought is impossible to shine also he make shiny. :thumb:

just change ah pek eo with nano . main thing i notice is the gear changing is very smooth . will monitor the fc

I didn't bother with the FC cause I know my right hand very itchy lol.

After changing EO and X1R with Ahpek. Sometimes I can hear the throttle whipering.. turn me... turn me.. :cheeky:

Unless after the EO change you can discipline yourself to ride normally, which frankly I find very hard

That's just the partial part of it but have to let you know his bike is in very good condition and status wise, low on mileage from previous owner. He travels to and fro from home and destination on highways daily. I think this is the major part of it that conribute to his excellent mileage clocked..its a Spec II.

normally travel by highway to camp . maintain 90km/h . change gear 3.5k to 4k . once a while open vtec .

Thats true my Ver S can hit 300km plus b4 reserve, if travel on highway. But if I travel at normal small roads with traffic lights all that. I can only hit 200+ b4 reserve. But Ah pek I heard if change gear at low rpm, it causes more carbon buildup? Is that true?

Yah..basically the carbon are not 'forcefully' blown out and tend to stick to the side walls of things inside the exhaust.

j_tan49: My coolant was also leaking. but maybe not as badly as yours. After doing the patch with ahpek, no problem liao. hope it stays this way.

rockoil: My steering handle also shakes/vibrates left and right. Only found out recently.

Was riding at around 70 then let loosen my grip on the handle bar to see if it will go straight or lean towards one side. For a start, the bike leans slightly towards the right. then the steering bar starts to vibrate/shake left and right. I quickly resume my grip.

Tot was a once off thing so i tried again this morning. below 60km/h nothing happens, but once above 60km/h, the handle bar vibrates.

Ah Pek: How much to fix the steering cone at ah fook?

ahdon:thanks for the update! ya i'm currently monitoring my middle block to see if it's still leaking..i will be back in AMK drinking kopi in the void deck again at the first sign of another leak..now like okay liao leh..

ahdon+rockoil:my handle will also shake if i loosen grip leh..and according to ahpek's test, it's prob my steering cone bearing..cos i noticed the "kok" sound long time ago liao..and it's nothing to do with my tyre pressure cos i used to go around with just 200kpa for my front tyre..even after i pump up to 240kpa, still the same wobbling..

metal_heart:bro i got my bike's shower stuff liao..keke..so if you interested to wash bike together, let me know ya? keke..typing this makes me feel like washing my bike now..but seems like gona rain.. :sian:

engine flush? drain out the eo is it?

Engine flush is a process where some old oil are drained off and the remainder being added with a sludge removing agent (chemical). Then the engine be run for about 15-20 mins...this is when the gearbox internal components, cyclinder wall or just about anywhere the eo path is..are cleanse of oil sludge, residue slime or what have you inside. Then later drained all off and change with new eo. This is what engine flush is.
