bro, definitely not normal. Why would Honda produce a bike which cant even detect the rev of the engine NORMALLY.

Idling speed should be 1.2k to 1.5k.

thanks for your expert input bro!! :) haizz.. really speechless bro, sometimes i feel that bikes shop are taking advance of newbies like me sia.. sigh..

anyways right bro, today my fuel guage wat touching the red reserve line.. but haven hit reserve yet.. cuz bike nv start to choke.. but then when i faster went to top up petrol only can pump 12 litre leii.. so 18-12=6 litre still left in tank (including 3 litre reserve) right? so does that mean dun really have to follow gauge and wait till bike to roughly choke then faster go top-up? cuz i was dam stress when i see my meter at the red-reserse line there, also wondering how come petrol finish so fast.. hehe~

thanks in advance for all the valueable and expert advices given in advance!! :)

Wow. What a fantastic workshop. Guess even if your engine's making "Clunk Clunk" noises, it's definitely normal.

sigh... only if i had a little more knowledge on super4, maybe they wouldn't cheat me.. sigh... somemore all of my outside friends oso all riding 2b bikes.. so really very hard for me as i know nothing about this bike.. so u bros are the only ones i can rely on.. haiz.. btw bro, is the temperature light supose to come on when when first switch on the bike? cuz only my side stand light and oil light comes on.. while riding, feel abit hot near the tank there.. but i've never yet seen the temperature light turn on before.. just checking if its normal bro.. scared if not the bike overheat oso i don't know..

thank you bro, and all other super4 bros for sharing yr valuable knowlegde with me.. :)

about the fuel gauge...i experienced that to when riding my ver s for the first week...scared run out of fuel then quickly pump den realize only 12 ltr can go in...haiya...super 4 heavy bike leh...i dont want to push up hill while searching for petrol kiosk...

the gauge is not that accurate and for the choking part thats what i do now before refuelling..just yesterday manage to full up to 16ltr so that means still got 2 ltrs of reserve left

another way to gauge is by your mileage...say your full tank can travel ard 300-320 den you count...when reaching 300++ you search for petrol kiosk already mah...haha..thats what i use to do while riding my phantom cause no fuel gauge and still continueing the habit until now

another advantage of this method is that you roughly can gauge how far your bike can go before refuelling......

It aint me officer...The bike is POSSESSED!!

akm_inferno, just go down to the weekly kopi session and you will definitely get your ans straight away.

I want to share some experience I had when my meter bulb blown. At first it was normal so I didnt bother to change it. But after sometime, my bike suddenly lost power when it reaches 5k and above; I could hear alot of misfiring through the exhaust. I thought it was my spark plugs that was giving me the problem and i went to change them. But it didnt solve the problem. So i push it to my bike shop and they changed the bulb and did some rewiring at the headlight and it went back to its normal state.

I need it to change EO and Oil filter.

But I will not be gg down this weekend.

Yes I have why?

yea bro, sadly i feel the same way as you.. this bike shop really going to CHOP ME UPSIDE DOWN as soon as warrenty period is over.. haiz.. anyways, today just only got my meter lights fixed bro.. and the experience i tell you was TERRIBLE..! i would also like to share this experience with all other bikers out there.. :(

only 2 words can describe FIRST MOTORING at ubi.. "MONEY, TALKS"... i went to first motoring yesterday at about 5pm after booking an appointment with them. but as they had many customers who would actually PAY money for servicing their bike, first motoring told me to come again the next day at noon when there is suposedly to be lesser PAYING customers. when again when i went there at about 12.30 pm all the way from jurong, they told me that the mechanic who was assigned to fix my bike was noy there yet and i had to wait.. so i waited for about 2 hrs until 2.30pm when they told me that the mechanic was not answering his phone, and if i could come back again the next day.. :slapforehead: so i told them nicely that im schooling and it's not very easy for me to go all the way to ubi from jurong every single day. then they told me to wait.. after waiting for about 1hr 30 mins more they finally open us the meter to fix the bulbs. when they closed the meter i realised the rev meter was not positioned correctly (only can see numbering 1 to 6 rpm, the rest shift to left and covered). when i let the mechanic know, he told me, "your bike so old and lousy ready, abit like that never mind". :dot: then we i approached "MR Lim" the boss there. He throw a fuss as if i own him a million dollar. he keep saying to me is a sarcastic way, "we spend two hours fix yr meter, now we waste 2 hrs more again.. it's okay...". sigh.. :( after that the mechanic left the meter there for sometime and got the fix positioned right after 1 hrs plus.. so around 5pm when the meter was done (total time taken to fix 3 bulbs in my meter= 5hours), i approached Mr. Lim carefully to inform his that my right fork oil seal might be leaking.. so Mr. Lim gave me 1001 reasion to why the black greasy substance will appear on the fork.. haizz... and managed to "convice" me again that the bike is in perfect condition..... :dot: sigh.. BUT wait, this is for my case only.. if i had been a paying customer it would be a different story altogether... i and my bike would have been treated with the ut-most respect......

Well..all its all nice b4 purchasing the bike, but after money transaction and purchased..its almost the same everywhere. Too bad its not me..yes, I will proceed with legal action.

The thing is that its getting so common these days..you ppl are young and 1st time owner and they know how to play their game. In most cases, a piece of '****' is being sold..what I'm saying here they DO KNOW that its a machine sold with problems. If they were to do a good job before selling, the price would be much higher and their sales would move very slow as ppl, just like anyone else are looking for the best bargain and comparison. At any rate, if you felt that you had paid a higher price and expected a safe and proper good condition one, by all means..get to the bone of it with them make them learn not to take things for granted.

Anyway..thanks for sharing. Lots of ppl visiting the thread here would benefit from your encounter. I do not at all feel that you are talking down "First Motoring"..they deserve to be exposed here of their kind of after sales service. As for the meter and how it was done, I would have told the mech off right in the face that if this is your bike and good $$$$S been paid for, would he have accepted it. Bosses in most shop are too busy making $s in interest and loan from sales of bike..they heck care how their mech do a quality job.

Just remember the next time..when you have the right of matters..you don't shout, they wont know.

Anyway..there may be more 'hidden' problems or unknown on your bike that you are unaware off. Get to mixed and know others to help out. If there is and Mr Lim is not willing to recorrect or honor his warranty, aget a few S4 rider down to his shop with you..it makes a different when all dismount from their rie and walk right in askking for him. Am not refering to "threats" but that there are ppl who knows about S4 so its time for me to talk sense for the $$$$s he earned. Better have your bike check by some experience fellow riders.

You should have said. "I buy the bike from you and i expect the bike to be in a good condition. Since now the bike is not in the condition that i expect it to be, you should help me fix that because i bought it from you. Not other bike shop but YOU. Now im asking you to fix the problem but you are giving me another problem and what do you think of your service MR. LIM. I made a appointment with you guys and came here from JURONG just to rectify this prob and yet you did not even apologized and ask me back as you are not able to fulfill your duties."

anyway your warranty still got how long more ?

Am not refering to "threats" but that there are ppl who knows about S4 so its time for me to talk sense for the $$$$s he earned. Better have your bike check by some experience fellow riders.

hahaha.. thanks for sharing yr experience bro! :) really helps.. anyways bro, just wanted to share with you.. i also used to ride a phantomTa200 before this.. haha.. i'm also used to riding without the help of a fuel guage.. but then now the super4 suddenly got one fuel guage for me to look at everytime, makes me abit paranoid as to when petrol going to run out.. hahaha.. i also share same view as u, super4 ready so heavy.. push to petrol kios can half-kill me.. hahahha!! :D

thanks you bro for taking yr valuable time to share yr experience with me bro.. :) finally i got my meter lights fixed today with a TERRIBLE experience.. sigh.. going ellaborate further bellow.. sigh...

yea bro, sadly i feel the same way as you.. this bike shop really going to CHOP ME UPSIDE DOWN as soon as warrenty period is over.. haiz.. anyways, today just only got my meter lights fixed bro.. and the experience i tell you was TERRIBLE..! i would also like to share this experience with all other bikers out there.. :(

only 2 words can describe FIRST MOTORING at ubi.. BUT wait, this is for my case only.. if i had been a paying customer it would be a different story altogether... i and my bike would have been treated with the ut-most respect......

look on the bright side. ur problem not as big as mine

bikeshop warranty is worth sh|t. u got problem and push back, they just find some reason to put u off. i bought a R1 from one of the advertiser in this forum, and found out the piston ring is worn out. go back and kpkb, only to get the sh|tty answer "old bike liddat one mah"

knn. and this is after i got a fren to buy a 07 busa from them. !@#%@#$! will not recommend anyone to this shop anymore. even if their machine price is low.

their mech also totally cmi one. on the collection day, tell me warm up bike, do everything nicely for me. i rode out less than 5 mins bike died on me and need to call tow truck. found out there was water in the fuel tank.

to date, i spent coming to 1.2k to repair the bike and still need abt 1.8k to get all the problems fully rectified. with all these money i spent, can get newer bike liao. shall not review the shop's name cos they have a reputation of sueing ppl.

That's great! If this is the case with you, may be you can accompany akm_inferno when he need to go there again..that would be real helpful.

yah. initially i was quite skeptical, cos when i compare the price i got my exact same plate FN VerR as akm_inferno b4 i gt the bike. cos i was paying much more than hw much he was paying. but i think the cost really plays a part in the bike condition. other than the meter light which they gladly replace for me, there was no major probs so far. when they told me they overhaul the engine for me, i was very skeptical, but when i went down to collect the bike, it seems that everyone in the whole shop(even those in the office) knew about the overhaul. there was even pics taken for removing the parts. the mech there were all very friendly also. although that shop is quite new, but can see alot of ppl going there for servicing and such. everything is running smooth so far, keeping my fingers cross nw. hope it stays this was. haha.

dun mind going with akm_inferno if my schedule allows, i can learn more things about my bike also.

Screw that warranty **** man. For those bulbs, you can either change them yourself, or head about 20m down the same street to Planet Motorshop. You won't regret doing business with the mech and shop owner.
