hi brothers and sisters, i just wan to know what is the different between the cb400.

for example, the type s, and spec 1 and spec 2 and 3.

what is the different. my budget is abt 4000 dollar. i know that spec 3 is out of my budget. so i am looking at type s spec 1 and 2. but i dont understand the different and which is better. I am new at this super 4.

 

would kindly appreciate your help.

PB1 , Ver R, Ver S - older S4 models (does not have vtec engine)

Spec 1 (Most), Spec 2, Spec 3 , Revo - Newer models with vtec engine

 

Personally I ride a Ver S, vtec engines generally have the rush of power after a certain rpm with the cost of slightly more fuel being used up.

Spec 2 the vtec opens earlier, some like that some don't

 

There is really no "better" in S4. It's just up to the individual's preference and how well the bike had been taken care.

Today,i saw aother guy selling a version s(in olx.sg) which come wit pb1 exhaust again..:sian::sian:

So Ah pek ...is the exhaust for PB 1 stock exhaust good? I am using one and my bike is PB 1.

 

PB1 exhaust is very exclusive and expensive with great quality stainless steel metal. Its a 4 in 1 true system and your carbs are calibrated to its design. If yours is black (4 into 2 to one) and with an endcan..than its not as I have seen PB1 having their stock exhaust swop.

Yes, I'm not surprise. I have a regular here who bought a PB1 and have his stock exhaust swopped for a Ver S one...nice to him but stupid a decision.:sian: Not saying that he's stupid lah...he doesn't know that a 4 in 1 system is a full system and performance so much better.

I had read somewhere in the net before that 4-2-1 exhaust is better for pickup while 4-1 is better for high-end (higher top speed). Guess each has it own pros ba. Hence, i will think 4-2-1 will be everyday riding.

 

Hope the info from the net didnt smoke me la......

The answer is "yes" but required quite a bit of effort. Seng Quan at Auto Point does it for $380.
