Yes..you are right. Improper air pressure causes that because our road are actually pretty 'rough'. Most ppl like to pump harder than usual thinking that there is more roll to the mileage..but mistake..the road surface is a cutting 'edge' and therefore, having a harder tyre makes a small part of the tyre wear unevenly as the road is never "edge" even as things rolls along.

There is no fix rules as to what tyre pressure for both front and back..but more or less, it has to accomodate the load it's carrying. As long as there is more contact of the tyre on the road and feel just 'soft' and comfortable and does not make your steering and handling feels heavy or sluggish at reasonably slow speed while rolling..you are on the right track of things. Example guide would be..if your total load is about 90kg, front at 235-240 kpi would be just about right and back about 270-280 kpi. Again..depending on type of tyres compound..soft compound need higher kpi by say 15-20kpi.

Plse note th above is base on my style of riding which I consider a mixed of havoc and considerate.

Oh ok. I learnt something new today. I think my tire is hard compound if nt its

medium hard compound. So just put my load is 70kg and

once a week pillion, wat would the pressure

be? CoZ i pump 235,265.

Im loving every moment with my LV.

Never heard of "medium compund" Like I say..take my above mentioned air tyre pressure as a guide as there is no fixed tyre pressure..thus I can't tell you what you should have. Your total load is never always 70kg...things like fuel tank content in volume from full to half emptey...etc are always a variable.

Halo ppl! Does changing fuel tank affect the fuel consumption? Recently i just changed my tank, and suddenly e total mileage reduced by at least 40km. Thats y yesterday had to push bike to nearest petrol station..:pity:

A tank is a tank and it holds 18 litres, 3 litres being reserve..doesn't make sense. In the first place..how on earth you ride until so much into your 3 litres of reserve? You sure your top up was the same level?..anyway..even it was ur old tank..never two refilled would ever gives you the same mileage clocked unless traffics evevry day are the same, your speed and outes...etc.:sian:

Ya,more or less same route. I ride the same way as with my previous tank. But i dunno y e total mileage decreased. But my fault lar for quickly find petrol station when hit reserve..

If yours is Vtec..the bar is very hard to tell when its gonna hit the bottom when its not accurate because of the fuel movement pushing the float around inside :pity:...at least non Vtec bike starts to jerk when it use up the 15 litres as there is a fuel tap to switch over.

Its okay as long as its not below the at half the second lower level. But since you take it out..might as well level it to the top level line. Just remember don't use tap or minral water if you have to premix yourself when using centrated coolant..recommended for our enviroment here 50/50. Never think that more coolant portion is better...it dry slower no doubt but bad in carrying away heat..that's why sometime engine runs hotter.:sian:

Concetrated and mix urself is better..you are more in control of things. If you get a chance to see the difference in premixed type of coolant of a same brand, you get the idea.:sian:

Last time I was riding 2b bike, my carb got water. The most obvious symptom.

The bike damn hard to start. Or your riding tim halfway your engine will just die off. I may be wrong here but I don't think riding in deep water will cause water to go in.

Unless your bike in thigh deep water, then im not sure. You only realise this power loss after the deep water incident?

hi BROs out there. i just got my version s. i'm having some problem here.

problem 1)the power of the bike seems very inconsistent. at times when i throttle it'll take a 2 sec lag time for the power to come. anyone has any idea what's wrong with my bike?

Problem 2) my coolant reserve is filled with tap water. i just got the bike and i'm intending to add coolant. but the tap water in the reserves drains like so fast. less than 400km its empty! hmmm :(.

problem 3) sometimes when i stop my bike i put on the side+stand+and+get+off+from+the+bike.+i+see+petrol+dripping+from+the+carb+area.+any+idea?

seems+troublesome.+anyone+able+to+enlighten?

Bro best dont add tap water to the collant system. Brown smudge and rust will form in the hose and ur coolant pump will be affected. My bike friend kana lucky Ah Pek was there to get rid of it. :thumb:
