I have tried it before, its possible to remove the pillion seat with just a screw driver.

Were ur pillion seat female fasterning mechanism inserted with spacer to lift up by the previous owner?? Its yes, then its easy to reach the locking mechanism with a longer screw driver. If its not lifted up with spacer , then it is still possible by forcefully bending up the seat alittle and use a long screw driver to force open the locking mechanism.

Its better to put the "single seater/seat cowl". Then the possibility of thieft from the pillion seat will be almost impossible.

Ah I may need to try this screw driver trick on my busa tonite  Lock doesn't work after i took out and put back my rear cowl... I think the locking cable accidentally disconnected...

it's the cable secured to the inside(keyhole) that is loosen causing it not to be able to pull the catch that unlocks the seat or hump. ya try the screwdriver method or try to put pressure on the cable with the screwdriver to release the catch... good luck..:thumb:

i think it him lar...cuz i cant see the diff yet between the year for haya...to me its all the same....lol

07 is the easiest to spot ..single color theme. either full black , full blue or full red.

the other full black would be 03 limited edition. or u can look at the swingarm, onli 03 limited edition and 07 have black swing arm.

Ah no luck... tried for an hour but cannot open... Think I need to try it on an opened seat to see how the catch works :cheeky:

I did not install the pillion grab bar hence I am poking the screwdriver through the left and right empty space. Anyone knows whether I should poke from the left side or right side to push the catch?

You could use a long screw driver and aim towards the direction where the latch is(pointed red) and push towards the green direction. You may have to ask someone force lift your seat from the rear. U can only aim the screw driver from the right side of the seat, not the side with the drive chain, not from the rear coz of the theftproof plastic at the rear.

There is a second method to take it out, u can CALL me at a diverted number 96809297.

I have once forgotten to put the lock ballwire back and happily closed the seat. Took me 30 mins to figure 2 ways out

But if u put on the single seater, good luck. lol
