I'm using the Bagster Sports sidebags for long trips. Bought them from Motoworld. Been a saviour for my clothes, souveniors, video cam, etc. Pros of the bags are that they do not touch the end cans due to the shape and they do not move about at high speed.

However, due to the curvy contour of our rides they may leave a mark at the side of the rear end where the bags are in contact. Not obvious and deep though. The rain cover for the bags are water proof but the Bagster logo imprint will fade at high speed. Just a cosmetic flaw.

Otherwise, very convenient and handy for lightweight travelling.

 Thanks for the Advice. Noted it down.. Might consider Oxford side pannier. Will update with photo when got it.

Do what the old timers had been doing...

stick masking tape at the rear section where the bag will rub against. after the touring trip remove the sticky tape. This way yr rear will not be scratched by the bags. :thumb:

Sticky Tape. OKIE! Note it down too. Thanks for ur advice. Everything little bit do help. Thanks.

Actually for me it would depends on the riding style.

If you ride normally, not high reving everytime, the oil change at 5000km +/- should be sufficient.

But if your bike is more for going Malaysia and going at a higher speed then recommended to change at a shorter interval about 4000km +/- .

All this oil change is to protect your engine and the type of oil also concern.

My 2 cent worth

P.S. I ride Gen 1 :p

What Mengz_Zai said is true for me too. However, I would change my engine oil even if the mileage is a low and I dun go fast often. I would change the engine oil so long as I feel that gear change is a bit harder to engage. It depends on individual.

New oil is better than old oil,

Old oil is better than no oil!

As to type of engine oil to use, fully syn is the most expensive compared to semi sync or mineral oil. But if you ask me, I would rather take the bike that is running on mineral oil and changed religiously every 2000km than a bike running on fully syn for 6000-8000km.

But then, thats just me. :cheeky:

if u do street/highway hard run-in, your interval of oil change is more often.

0-40km - 1st oil change

40-200km - 2nd oil change

200-500km - 3rd oil change

500-1100km - 4th oil change

1100-2400km - 5th oil change, finish break in.

during the course of above hard break-in use only mineral oil. after finish break-in, use any oil u want and follow normal interval oil change method. did this method on my '09.

just my 2cents...

:dozed: 5 time of oil change for just to run in. WAH! That is alot of time and $$ spend on Oil Change. I thro of just Change oil and filter at 1000km then the rest just run in till 1600km and happy going with the bike liao.. That is really very impress that u care so much for ur bike run in.. Whew.....

the manual is just a guide... EO change is every 5000-6000km or 6 months.

but it depends on what kind of usage. if u just ride locally mosty at low speed I would follow the manual. But if u go track or u just came back from a ride to thailand I would change the oil sooner.. . U will feel the difference when you are riding the bike. liek gear change not as smooth. louder engine noise etc.. :thumb:

mineral oil is cheap, thats why i used it for break-in. if use fully syn for break-in, it'll burn a hole in my pocket. :faint:

Money is not the reason why ppl use mineral oil for breaking in cos fully syn is just too "smooth" and you can't break in properly.. :thumb:

if ur hands, wrist n arms r in pain n aching..... then u r not riding ur busa right....

u dun muscle ur busa with brute force but tame it with the flow of ur body.

time to change ur riding style for ultimate enjoyment. :thumb:

remember u cannot muscle the busa coz u r sure to be on the losing end. but instead be one with the busa. as in u r an extension of ur falcon merge in body mind n soul.

I think ur wrists n hands r aching probably coz ur locking ur elbows while riding hence placing all ur upper body weight on ur hands n wrists...stop locking ur elbows n u will do fine...just relax n ride...
