Thanks for your explanation bro.

(1) must I wait till the problem resurface before I send it to guan hoe or can I just send it there straight away to check?

Guan Hoe now located at Autobay Kaki Bukit right?

Oh, just remembered, thou the FI indicator came on, I still rode my bike at abt 220-230km/h. Do u reckon I might have damaged something in this process?

You can sent it to let them check. They have the proper Suzuki diagnostic tools to dig out the code from your ECU. You may want to call Guan Hoe to double check first. Yes, they are now located at Autobay @ Kaki Bukit. Level 2 along the stretch of Unique, Sportings etc.

Erm, by right there some sort of like a fail safe procedure in case FI code lights up. Usually by the means of power cut. Maybe it only affect some FI codes only. Don't worry so much, I kanna all 4 injectors error code lighted up and I still carry riding above 200kph. But that is for my previous 750 and it due to my PC3. Anyway I am thinking your problem might be due to TPS which is the most common. Let Guan Hoe have a look first bah

(2) I did noticed (after pulling over at the petrol kiosk) that one the weight (sticky tapped onto the circumference of my front rim) was missing. This weight thingy is used to balance my tire right?

Yes, it is supposed to help balance the whole wheel. The wobbling effect will increase as the wheel turn faster. So don't underestimate that few grams of weight.

Thanks for much for your patience & replies. I guess the newbies here including me are learning a great deal from these qns & explanations.

Cheers.

Thanks for your time and explanation bro. I'll make a trip down to Guan Hoe tomorrow to get it checked. If there's time, I may get my springs changed plus get my tires re-balanced.

Thanks again bro.

ebay seller email me back. they are willing to make a replacement without me sending them back the rotors but he told me to check the rotors first as its usually only one side of rotors.

was told to check by caliper

or

to do a single rotor braking for a short distant eg carpark. to find out which rotors are giving the vibration.

if both got vibration then he will just replace both.

hrmmmmmm

the milage thingy, i sure someone else will chip in.

all i know is that if there's a way to reset the mileage then theres no way u would know. anyways resetting of milage is illigal in almost all states.

juz a guideline, my 05 has already clock 150 000 km round up.

So far I have only heard about people adjusting mileage for cars but not bike escpecially digital type. One of the possible worst case senario is the meter have been replaced after an accident. But it is not uncommon to find 35k km mileage old bike. The owner might have a seperate communting bike/car or he simply just don't ride much.

This is weird. Why he doesn't need the faulty rotor back? He does need to claim from the manufacturer right? Since he is not taking it back, of course I will say both rotor also got vibration. lol...

Gen 2 manual state 24mm. Should be the same as Gen 1? In doubt, use ruler to measure.

Actually you don't need to use the big allen key. You can use the clamping force from the 4 smaller bolts to hold the axle, then you can just tighten the axle without the allen key.

If you want to play safe, after fixing up, ride to your friendly bike shop and lent the big allen key to tighten again.

Hmm.. You mean most shops / "always visit" shop will know how to do? Honestly normal servicing of bikes I trust them. Anything else, not that much. Maybe u can share with me your usual or recommended shop to get the pipe shortened & re-conditioned?

errrr sorry for my noob knowledge but what do I need to do to my mid-pipe? Get them to cut 2.5 inches? Is there a specific reason why it's 2.5 inches or this is the optimum for RS3?

Bro I totally lost u. If it's not too troublesome, perhaps u can elaborate?

Pai seh.. Totally noob with such things hence the questions.

Bo worry... Mayb u can go Bikewerk-Ah Beng/ Sanfu-Jawa / Sinboon-Ah Hai. This few can do the job

The best length to cut off shd measure the midpipe length for optimum perform :thumb:

Hi there,i am also a newbie.Just to share with you, mileage is to roughly guage the wear and tear and as a guideline from the manual.

But than again, depends on individual's riding style and how well he takes care of his busa.

There are two types of running in,hard run in and the normal riding. It's crucial and very important,it depends greatly on the performance and durability of the engine.

I have seen only how it looks like for Gen 1 speedometer once you dismantled everything.

It's not impossible to reset the mileage, but quite impossible to track unless you know and trust the previous owner.

I hope all these help, maybe the rest of the senior falcon riders will chip in........

Reflash is still under the list of STOCK. no piggyback add-on, no change of OEM parts..

Hi tikusnrabbit, what kinwei said is true. I'm one of those who drives to work & seldom do i ride. I own a 2005 hayabusa with it's mileage last checked 2 days ago at 32,500km. FYI, I'm the only owner of my bike.
