why need a '99 or '00 model side by side to check meter? that model's meter more accurate meh?

Just to check if the ECU is actually tricking the meter to show what it was really not meant to be.:sian: At low speed, probably not not of a difference. But at above 240km/h, the difference is quite noticeable. Meaning to say, a '99 or '00 model may show only say 250km/h when the newer models show 260km/h.

 

When that happens, the rpm continues to shoot though the speedo is already at its max.o_O Anyway, just to share with you guys what I know, not meant to disheartened anyone ok?:confused:

yoh dude i think what u say is true the meter is different cost i bought the aftermarket glow in the night meter cover it is the same as the yr 00 model that goes 340km but my bike is 02 model thats a slight difference when my meter shows 120km but actually in fact its only travelling at 100km/hr so sianz must get use to it haha but its nice in the night.:cheer: :cheeky: :thumb:

Not to forget if there's any spocket and chain changes even though its a 99 or 00 model otherwise will not be acurate as well.. i personally noted that dun need to wait till 240km above to noted the diff, above 120km can noted some diff as well. A yellow box or other devices investment can also help to sycronise the actual speed :smile:

another best way is a GPS speedo...... specially for bike will cost abt $100++......

 

or use SAF GPS..... got speedo function.....
