Hi..

i was riding a hayabusa since may.. which i bought a 2nd hand K2 ver.

the problem started about 2 mths ago which after a riding, the engine suddenly stop and the FI light is on, i just turn off the ignition and on again to start the bike, and its ok... but after that night the engine seem lack of power in low RPM, the engine keep on jerking and the sound a bit like harley davidson the engine will die off after u never blow for a while even its been warmed up , then after i ride for about 20-30km ride ( mostly ride to the bikeshop), the engine seem ok i went to a few bike shop to check, but till now, the problem still unable to solve. they said might be the spark plug cable.. and even the fuel injection..i changed the fuel injection and spark plug, the problem still come..then when ever i wash my bike, the problem come again, at first i thought is the some parts contact with water then the problem when come, but sometimes it will, i wanted to just give up and let the problem be, but after i tried some U-turn and the problem come, quite scary (doing U-turn suddenly engine jerk)...

so i would like to ask around for hayabusa riders and any riders suggestion and solution, Tks

Did you actually check on the spark plug cables? This is a rather unusual problem which I have yet to hear from anyone else. From your description, it could only be the spark plug cables or your fuel pump/injectors. If you bought 2nd hand, my guess, previous owner have swop out the K2 pump to his friend who rides a '99 model(RX model). I am only guessing. So the best is to check it out. The Mechanic will be able to help you see if it's a '99 fuel pump or not.

 

The other possibility, which is very rare case so far, is that your stock ECU might have a problem with the fuel signal. Maybe you like to try borrowing someone else's power commander, plug it in and see how is it.

Have u brought ur bike to Loois motor to let the mechanic Meng tong for a check ? It sound like u might need to do a sycronise if ur idling is not stable.

Well....guys.. tks for the reply...as for the spark plug cable still havn't change yet as one of the bikeshop is till trying to get for me, as i also havn't went to looi motor to check b4..wat have been done is change another fuel pump, and spark plug, and also done is used the dealer mode to lower the fuel consumption as its was too high.. they did check for error code but alway nothing wrong.. the problem will mostly come is either kana rain or after wash... seem like become a non-water proof bike..

once, my bike used to die of when i blow throttle or warming up but if ride for a while it'll be okay, then turn out to be RPM too low . mine is a k2 model too . i read from the u.s.a forum that this model , the 02 model got starter problem, so far mine is okay but maybe u check on the starter
