song oready huh ... then share some verses from SOS lor

6His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.

5Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.

1O that thou wert as my brother, that sucked the breasts of my mother! when I should find thee without, I would kiss thee; yea, I should not be despised.

7Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.

8We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

WASHINGTON - NEARLY 40 per cent of US Christian churches saw a drop in offerings from their flock last year, according to a survey on contributions compiled by the group Christianity Today International.

'For the first time in consecutive years there is a notable decline for a significant number of churches,' said Matt Branaugh, one of the report authors.

Mr Branaugh, editor of 'Your Church magazine' - part of the CTI group - told AFP that one of the most important factors in the drop in donations was increased unemployment.

According to the survey of 1,000 churches across the United States taken for a second consecutive year, 38 per cent of churches registered a drop in donations, against 29 per cent the previous year. The 'State of the Plate' survey did not report the value of the offerings.

ref http://www.straitstimes.com/BreakingNews/World/Story/STIStory_508831.html

One third of the churches surveyed - 32 per cent against 14 per cent the previous year - cut expenses between one and 20 per cent, which included cutting back on trips, conferences, renovations and parish expenses, according to the report. Nevertheless, 45 per cent of the churches surveyed increased their budget allocated to help people in need, Mr Branaugh said.

Especially hard-hit were the 'megachurches' surveyed - churches that have room for between 2,000 and 5,000 faithful for a typical Sunday service. Forty-seven per cent of the 'megachurches' saw a drop in contributions, compared to 23 per cent in the previous year. -- AFP

ZCC priest orders hubby to leave then rapes wife

12 January 2010

Palesa Lebitse and Penwell Dlamini

The women claims that the leaders of the congregation allegedly confronted the pastor and the suspect admitted to the crime

SUSPECT has admitted to the crime

A 55-year-old ZCC pastor has been arrested for allegedly raping one of his congregants.

The pastor, of Rietvallie in Kagiso, was arrested yesterday morning after a 30-year-old woman had laid a charge of rape against him.

Police spokesperson Inspector Solomon Sibiya said the incident happened on December 23 last year.

“The woman alleges that she was not able to conceive, so she and her husband went to the pastor for assistance,” said Sibiya.

“When they arrived at the pastor’s place he requested the husband to leave so that he could perform a ritual on the woman.

“The woman says the pastor then requested her to take off her clothes.

“He allegedly rubbed an ointment on her body before forcing himself on her.

“The woman claims that she cried for help but nobody was around to rescue her.”

Sibiya said that after the alleged rape, the woman said that the pastor insisted that she should take a bath.

“She then went home and told her husband. They later went to the church elders to inform them about the rape,” Sibiya said

“The women claims that the leaders of the congregation allegedly confronted the pastor and the suspect admitted to the crime.”

The pastor is expected to appear in the Krugersdorp magistrate’s court today. ref http://www.allvoices.com/news/5004530-zcc-hubby-rapes-priest

Va. ex-pastor charged with molesting boys

By: Freeman Klopott

Examiner Staff Writer

March 19, 2010

A 64-year-old former pastor has turned himself in to Fairfax County police after being charged with molesting two boys.

Tommy Shelton was the pastor at the Community Church of God in Dunn Loring from 1995 through 2000, police said. In March 2008, a 27-year-old man told police he had been molested by Shelton when he was 12 to 14 years old, authorities said. A 22-year-old man told police in November 2008 that Shelton had molested him while he was 8 and 9.

Police said warrants were issued for Shelton in February following an extensive investigation.

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

The book of Romans is written by Paul for our dispensation as he is the Apostle for the Church Age.

Rom 1:1 Paul, a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called {as} an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,

Rom 1:2 which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the holy Scriptures,

Rom 1:3 concerning His Son, who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh,

Rom 1:4 who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

Rom 1:5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about {the} obedience of faith among all the Gentiles for His name's sake,

Rom 1:6 among whom you also are the called of Jesus Christ;

As i said before:

Our marching orders are found only in the letters of Paul (Romans thru Philemon), and not in the Old or New Testaments

Luke 15:12 ~ 31

to me the story shows "the abundance love" of Father for his sons.

Jesus tells this parable to reveal the agape, unconditional love of our Daddy God for us

even to those that broke till have to share food with the pigs

even to those that "contribute" to the economy of the whores

even to those "self righteous" elder brother

Does this has any relation to the dispensation of Grace?

What about those who has the believe that God give them trials and put them in situations so as to build them up? How does it equate to the parable?

Jesus was addressing the pharisees and scribes, but what sparks His plethora of parables that come after.

if such the case then He would have shared the parable wherever He went. Jesus has always been revealing the Agape of the Father and the grand scheme of the Father's plan.

The Pharisees are the forerunners in Judaism

The Sadducee were not mentioned in this chapter but

The Scribes was.

There is some fruit for thought here. About what Jesus says and about His redemptive plan.

Case in point, I believe this will shed some light to the common mis-guided believes. Namely

- God gives us trials to teach us lessons. To build us up

- We need to know about the various theories / dispensation to know the Truth

- Faith without works is dead

- All Scriptures are God's breathed ... (which some like to use this verse against others)

and many more

We dun need dispensation to know Jesus - the Truth. One can read John 3:16 and secure their salvation by Rom 10:10.

However, if one does not know the audience to whom the book was refering to hor ... that will be a huge problem if one reads the bible and put practise on "what is written" without understanding why was it written, to whom these passages were for ... etc.

Example:

Matthew 5:30 (New International Version)

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.

and that bloke starts to amputate the right hand off … later realise his left hand also sin … how ??? … ask his friend to chop the other hand off ? :dozed:

so understanding that the whole bible is written for our learning. However, not all the verses in the bible is written for us to follow, which is what i call as "dispensation"

so understanding that the whole bible is written for our learning. However, not all the verses in the bible is written for us to follow, which is what i call as "dispensation"

Dispensation is just another 'order of things' coined by men to satisfy their theories based on chronological reasonings.

Understanding the Bible is all about Jesus. From the beginning till the end. You may have missed out certain key things that should be know, it certainly doesn't say 'dispensation' was the WAY.

Dont walk the road to Emmaus and end up not learning anything about Jesus.

Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles [164] from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. And He said to them, "What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?"

Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, "Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?" And He said to them, "What things?" So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.

But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see."

Then He said to them, "O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?" And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.

Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. But they constrained Him, saying, "Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent." And He went in to stay with them. Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them.

Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight. And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?"

These two were discussing about it as well. Maybe if you continue, Jesus may just appear before you. BUT, if you can really identify with Him, thats another story altogether.

Dispensation is human logic trying to explain things. Discernment is Holy Spirit guiding you to respond to the situation. And as Jesus has said repeatedly

But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
