Dear Brother Gohjohan,

 

Welcome to this thread

 

Understanding dispensation is vital to me as my ex "law-man church" builds their doctrine on non-Paul’s letters.

 

Example of scripture abuse from Acts 2:38~39

 

In order to be a “true christian” in my ex "law-man church", their “member to be” has to

1) repent, which to confess every sin they have even committed from birth; then make restitution, show tears that they are truly sorry for their sins.

2) be water baptised in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3) Then after becoming a “true christian” in their context, have to maintain “salvation” by good works and daily confession of sins to a mentor that will be assigned to that guy.

 

Their members are not even sure of their Salvation if they are to die then as they have to maintain “salvation” hor

 

For me : Knowing HIS TRUTH sets me free

IMO bible was a book for men.

Unfortunately the book of Enoch was not included in the cannonisation.

the book of Enoch will tell of what happen in detail in Gen 6:2~4.

Rainbow mentality aka no-judgment mentality

 

Christians ought to model themselves unto Jesus who has a rainbow or no judgment mentality towards His children.

Jesus has a rainbow crowning his head (Rev 10) and reading this with Isa 54:9, we have the assurance that God has no judgment towards those who believe in His Son.

 

Is 54:9 For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

WWJD - Watch What Jesus Does

Luke 1:37

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

 

You may have heard from friends or seen in Christian books the popular question, “What would Jesus do?” It is a question Christians are taught to ask themselves when faced with a problem.

 

But when you ask yourself, “What would Jesus do?” in any situation, it is subject to your own interpretation and theology. For example, if you are from a church that doesn’t believe that Jesus heals today, you may think that this is how Jesus would pray for the sick, “O Father, give him patience to endure his sufferings,” and proceed to pray that way for a sick person. So when you try to think of what Jesus would do, you are going back to your flesh!

 

Maybe the reminder should be, “Watch what Jesus does”. With this thought, I watch what Jesus is doing or leading me to do. If He prompts me to say or do something, I say or do it. I am here to manifest Jesus Christ, with whom nothing is impossible!

 

So when you are led to talk to someone, watch what Jesus does. When you pray for your child, watch what Jesus does. When you confess God’s Word into your situation, watch what Jesus does! Keep your eyes on Jesus, with whom nothing is impossible!

Hi Brothers and sisters. Are there any biblical implications if I as a protestant christian goes to Mass with my Catholic girlfriend?

 

The reason why i'm going with her is to bring her closer to God, thus i feel at least supporting her to go to her church on Friday would be a first fresh step towards bringing her to Christ, by simply accompanying her to Church.
