lolx... change chain guard, remove fairing, remove airbox/ remove all the mud guards.. remove air fenders, remove speedo..

& lastly.. change empty pipe and empty stomach..

anyway, empty stomach means the stomach is suppose to have "something" to block.. but once you take out.. it's more smooth and easier to rev..

But empty stomach is illegal right? Btw, next time we meet show me where is the mud guard and air fender leh. and also one question:

1. If chain loose will cause any serious problem to my bike? I keep hearing some tingling sound from below when i never on throttle and let it engine brake.

Class 3 licence: Dec 2006

PSA Forklift licence: 2007

Class 2B licence: Oct 2010

so if i take out airbox, any harm done to my bike? will it go faster?

and which tyre is the best for cornering? battlax? michelin? or other brand?

lolx... yup to both..

Not consider harm, I would say your FC will suffer plus your carb more easy to get dirty

it will run faster if you high rev, you will feel power overwhelm.. but if you over rev = more den 10, wear and tear increases.

Battlex recommended based on experiences...

hmm, i see i see. anyways, i'm thinking if changing my back tire to battlax. currently im using shinko 110/70. the threads are still good, but i feel shinko is not as good as battlax. i'm thinking of changing to battlax 120/70. is this a good choice? btw, my front tire is Duro 90/80.

empty stomach makes more noise...if within lta requirement ..it would be ok..

the more important is the emmission...this is a concern..

empty stomach good??/...u think the hihgly paid engineers are stupid ...in the design to have a stomach??

think again..you will regret...but if u like loud bikes over everything else...then u would be pleased.

imho..

it look like your chain is wearing out and it has lengthen..

get the chain retensioned..if u dont know how come over i can do it for you..

loose chains resulting in :

1...lost of power..

2.possibility of slipping off sprocket..this is a safety issue

3..accelerated chain/sprocket wear..

4..lousy irritatig ride ..bad perormance with high fuel consumption

the more important thing is..are you cleaning and oiling the chains every 500km..if not your chain and sprocket will wear out sooner rather than later..

the good news is that there is a solution ..get an oiler..

it will save you the hassle of spending up to 2 hours to get the chain cleaned..and at the same time saves you money..

how? u may ask..

I always see bottles of fuel injector cleaner, fuel system cleaner and octane booster at bike shops and it is said can maintain and also enhance your bike performance.

Can these be used on a kr? will it harm the bike or anything?

kr masters out there please advise

lol.. I'm not exactly a kr master. but i tried diff brands and etc.. depending on your $$$ and your bike's maintenance and etc.

I've tried a few and most of them do give more power.. remember not to put in the whole bottle as that's to treat a car's petrol tank.. they can treat up to 50 litres and more.. so do NOT to use the whole bottle.. preferable 1/4 from what I've tried using STP.. the rest of the brands really depending on your bike.. I tried a few others but they doesn't really increase any HP or etc because I maintain my bike internal every 6 month ( at least)...

don't worry, they wun harm your bike unless you pour in the whole bottle in it.. whahaha... :)

anyway, before you buy a huge amount or anything, try it with any of your friends who have it, example, i brought a small bottle of xxxx because the response is sooooo great...

but upon pouring in, TRUE.. my FC increase.. but my response dropped.. I give it to a few person to tried and even offer to give them.. but.. most of my friends say.. nah.. tried once.. cmi.. whaha...

now i even have some left to let people to try one.. :)

meet up and discuss as some things cannot be said online.. :)

i just did a full servicing for my bike and discovered that my piston is burned. like 1/3 of it is blackened. the mechanic told me it's because the 2T i use is not a gd grade one, thereby causing the piston to be burned. I'm using castrol power 1 semi synth 2T oil, price around $13. is this brand not gd enough? and are there any other causes for the piston to be burned? anyway i changed the piston and piston ring and the mechanic convinced me to switch to motul 300 2T .

next, i was told that after changing piston, it is considered in 'running in.' i was advised not to exceed 5000rpm and 80km/hr for the next 500km. is this really needed? anyway some people say running in is 500km, 800km or 1000km. so which is it?

please advise..

Hi ikaza, based on my experience, 2T is normally the main cause for piston spoilt.. & i would suggest to use motul brands as so far i'm using it.. and my piston normally can last me 1~2 years.. :)

for that changing piston and piston rings, i have people who told me, yes, it's running in.. and the run in km is actually 800 km(below 5rpm). and follow by 500km(below 7rpm).. that's what i've heard...

Anyway, based on my previous experience.. After i full service.. i might even change piston & piston ring, i wack till 12RPM around 150 to test if it's really smoother anot.. *all these are done in malaysia.. after that.. i ride as per normal.. my usual riding patterns.. 100km/h.. rpm 6~7.... **bear in mind, this is my way of riding.. i really have no idea if it's advisable.. but.. i've done it and my bike is still running as per normal... :)
