THE AIRBAG JACKET, PROTECTION WITH STYLE.

Aprilia presents a new safety garment with elegance and style to cater for the most discerning rider.

The Airbag jacket is a new, innovative and vital technical safety garment. The new jacket features an inflatable backrest offering complete neck, spine and sacrum area protection as well as a set of shoulder and elbow protectors, and comes with the style and livery of the Aprilia brand.

http://www.aprilia.com/userfiles/image/news/giacca_airbag/Aprilia%20Airbag_600a.jpg

The Airbag Jacket has been created in the interest of rider safety; it is a garment ensuring total protection of the parts of the body most at risk when riding a two-wheeler. In the event of an accident, the airbag incorporated in the back of the jacket activates and inflates in just 80-85 milliseconds to ensure instantaneous protection for the spine.

The Airbag Jackets by Aprilia is stylish, classy and sporty on the outside while concealing a simple and effective protection system within: a clip on the end of an elastic cable fastens the jacket to a belt (supplied together with the airbag system) attached to the motorcycle itself. If pulled forcefully - as would occur in the event of an accident - the cable activates a gas bottle contained in the back of the jacket. The CO2 released from the bottle fills the compartments in the garment, ensuring full protection for the rider in under a second.

Once the airbag system has been activated, the system may be recharged and the jacket used again. Once recharged, functionality of the back protection system is immediately restored and the rider may continue his or her journey.

The Airbag Jacket is the perfect solution for your safety.

Patented by Motoairbag®, the airbag system used by the Piaggio Group is produced entirely in Italy and is the only system of its kind with EN1621-2:2003 certification when inflated.

The Aprilia Airbag Jacket is already available from Piaggio Group dealerships in black with red and grey details.

hey guys jus curious.. was checking on the diff of RSV4R and RSV4 Factory.. and the diff is like jus the suspension? do correct mi if i'm wrong..

http://www.aprilia.com. The specs for both bikes are there.

Basically the R version is a poor man's version of the RSV4 Factory. No Ohlins everywhere, No CF, No adjustable mounts, No variable airtake etc.

RSV4R is 26K machine.

Factory is 34K machine.

Last i checked fm Mah. Very affordable.

NIce fairings.. sweet and simple. Saw another one on FB. Fugly like hell though.

The stock paintjob is the best IMO. Whether for factory or the R. The White is especially nice.

That's cute, nice 1st post. In any case, please understand what I'm saying when i'm using analogies. I stick by what I say. The RSV4 R is a Poor man's version of the Factory. :) It's lacking the extra goodies. If you can't understand that, too bad. :)

Are you an insecure owner of the R maybe? Just guessing. I choose my own words, don't need your 2 cents. Thanks!

Wats ur problem?

I created an account just to question u. Like me, there are many R models riders in sg, n many r not even on forums. Its not about rich or poor. But people are using their hard earned money to buy bikes. U could have used words like affordable or cheaper version. But a poor man's version? I m sure tats pretty insultive. So wad do u own, a factory version? Or r u loiterin on a lawn mower engine?

N wat r u? Fashion critic? N the FUGLY paintwork u referring to, can u post a pic just in case u r referring to mine. So tat i hav a good reason to knock some sense into u? Or u do have the balls to do tat?

If anyone else feels his words r harsh, pls 2nd tat. N u have been enquiring prices? Planning to buy one or cant afford one? If u r not licensed to ride one, shut ur CB mouth n continue ur punk postings elsewhere.

The thing about riders, wat unites them is the passion for riding, n not for some skumbak comments of urs.

Ahhh... Sweet 2nd post. Why so touchy? My opinion, my words.

And what's with the solicitation for support? Hmm.. I'm sooo scared now.

I can't afford a lawn mowner also. Want to join me riding bicycle? :)

PS. In case you're stupid and dont understand english expressions, check out this link. Nothing to do with money.

Correct me if i am wrong till unless u wanna a own a brand new 09 factory in 2010 then u wanna buy a factory.

cos only the R is available in 2010 spec in singapore.

i too ride a R and i think till the day u can 'afford' to buy a factory u don call others poor, and not all the extra goodies given on the factory is of use to the everyday and normal riders, let me quote the adjustable engine mounts not everyone uses them and i also think this thread also is a Rsv4 thread so create 'creative' posts when u have a Rsv4 .Just my 2 cents

apparently i have knowledge of importing a bike in. just help a client to import can-am spyder from hongkong. for u guys info, we can save about a few k at least ( those can use to buy goodies for the bike) even after we pay tax (12%) and GST.

too bad for the spyder singapore customs see it as motorcar thus tax is 20%. LOL.

pm me or meet up for coffee if u want more details. cheers!

What do you know of my financial capablities? Are you my accountant?

Question asked about differences, i replied. Nothing to do with day to day riders or track junkies.

I'm more than well aware of the usage of the adjustable engine mounts and how it requires special tools to be even used.

You belong in the same group as the other guy, so read this before you post.

http://www.usingenglish.com/reference/idioms/a+poor+man%27s+something.html

If you both keep taking it personally that i am saying that you are POOR, it's not my problem.

Lastly, i didnt realise there's a rule in SBF that you have to own said bike to post in its thread. New to me.

I believe my posts are relevant to the topic at hand and it includes my opinion. Am i talking about another completely different bike now?
