Anyone planning to scrap their bike? I am looking for a few items:

 

1)tank, front and rear fenders in good condition.

2)original phantom mirrors.

3) Rear Box. 50L and in good condition.

MWTS my Honda Phantom TA200 in July because im looking to upgrade to S4 after my 2A cleared.

 

Color: Silver/Blue

FX Plate (COE till Feb 2014) LONG WAY TO GO! :)

Mileage: 88000km

Price: 1.2k NEG!

Payment: Cash

 

Things Done:

  • Engine Oil change every 1000km (Very well taken care of because i'm very particular about engine health! No worries!)
  • Spark Plugs every 5000km
  • Air Filter every 5000km
  • Front & Rear Brake Pads (FEB 2011) + Changed Brake Fluid (JUNE 2011)
  • Battery (APR 2011)
  • Chrome LED Signal lights (DIY and unique! yet to see a Phantom wif these!)
  • Hazard Switch Installed
  • Cam Chain + Tensioner Changed ($277 in DEC 2010)
  • Starter Relay Changed ($80 in DEC 2010)
  • Starter Carbon Changed ($60 in AUG 2010)
  • Carburettor Washed & Tuned (MAR 2011)
  • Fork Seals Changed + serviced ($110 in SEPT 2010)
  • GIVI 45L Rear Box (JUN 2010)
  • Tyres still alot of thread (easily 6 more months life)

 

I took over the bike at 70000km in June 2010 and used it for transport mainly. Good acceleration and good FC. can get almost 40km/l if you are really gentle with the bike (70km/h +-). if like me, ride abit fast (90-100km/h), maybe about 33-35 km/l. cheap maintenance also.

 

I really take care of my ride. I wash & polish it at least once a week and lube the chain at least twice a week, even more if it rains alot. I even clean the chain with diesel every 2 mths to make sure chain is in good condition. I change the EO every month regardless of mileage to take care of engine (plus its cheap = 1 bottle of EO only). I pump tyres every week and it shows minimal air leakage, thus tyre still good condition.

 

However, since the bike has done alot of mileage, the engine isn't as punchy, smooth or as powerful as younger/newly overhauled bikes. So if u want a good ride, I suggest going for a top overhaul (less than $400). After that, the bike should be problem-free till end of COE or even beyond that.

 

Good for P-plate riders since its insurance is cheap and a good bike to practice before u upgrade to 2A.The weight helps with the conversion to a bigger bike like S4.

Yeah, First time when I saw the ad, I thought it was placed by you. Then I saw the number and it is different. The sad part is he is selling it immediately which means he never bought the bike to ride but only to make a profit. :nono:
